You know, before seeing the actual quote of his use of ‘gay’, I thought maybe he was a man in his 60s saying ‘Oh, so-and-so will be ok with -whatever-, he’s such a gay fellow’ or something that could POTENTIALLY pass for ‘happy’ as the intended meaning. But who the hell does he think he’s kidding?

I know a lot of people who call people and things gay (inappropriately at times), they are not automatically homophobic as being stipulated. ”/ His email remark was inappropriate for his position, although I am pretty sure he did it by accident not realising the message would be broadcasted beyond his circle and so he did need to apologise, but this doesn’t necessarily mean he’s homophobic.
Whilst I’m sure the intention here was schoolboy-ish, I look forward to a point where sexual orientation is no more noteworthy than any other inate attribute.

I would never use the word gay in a negative manner as I’m not homophobic. Simples.
