  1. The recent articles relating to Australia appear to show it as being run at all levels by ultra-conservatives with a homophobic tendency. This article regarding film censorship/banning is just one example. Perhaps my perception is wrong, but that’s how it appears!

    Knowing that 99% of gay people watch gay porn I cannot, for the life of me, understand what the sensors think they are protecting us from? I will include gay teens under the age of 18 since the age of consent in Australia is 16 for both sexes.

      Here in Australia the Christian Taliban have taken over the rains of parliament as an Alliance between both Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott!

      Here are some examples:

      * Banning the gay movie recently released;
      * Bashings, Assaults and public drunkenness by police at the Mardi Gras; and
      * Maintains the ban on same sex marriages since 2004, while other western countries have moved towards making gay marriages legal

      Australia is in the land of 1913 – if I must be mistaken????????

      In Queensland, the age of consent is still 18 for anal sex, while it is 16 for oral and vaginal sex!

      Bizzar yes, but Canada has the same law too 16 for oral and vaginal sex – 18 for anal sex! Prior to 2009 – the age of consent in Canada was 14 for both oral and vaginal sex!

      The age of consent is 17 for both South Australia and Tasmania for everyone, all the rest is 16 for everyone!

    It would seen that Australia is showing the world it wishes to step back in time, reclaim the right to show homophobia at any whim!!

    Just wrong!

    I’ve erased Australia from my to-do list after some of the reports and comments I’ve read today.

    James Franco, however, remains perched quite beautifully on top of the list.

  5. ..yes, I am appalled at this reaction. The film does not depict any gay titillation or otherwise, it’s about human nature and how a person can get treated in the real World. I can no longer exist within this fasist, idiotic society. Deplorable.
