  1. two words. sack. him.

is it worth asking the question what equal marriage has to do with a coroner in any case?! does a coroner normally remark on such things as this?

poor family. my sympathies to them for this travesty of apparent hidden agendas.

  2. Well, on the face of what’s been presented in this article it seems to me that Mantega’s submission against Same Sex Marriage is evidence of a homophobic attitude, and therefore his submission suggests that he allowed his homophobia to determine his decision regarding whether or not the suicide of Corporal Hughes deserves a further inquiry.

Try him! Besides the further inquiry into exactly why Corporal Hughes committed suicide, there needs now to be an inquiry into the behaviour of this clearly homophobic public servant!

Wow – that moat around New Zealand (called the Pacific) sure keeps out education and progress, doesn’t it!

Completely unfair. NZ is a country that can teach the world a lot. Which country gave women the vote first? Also child rearing most of which is still used around the world today. Many many fantastic things come from NZ never mind their hunky men.

As to the “experiment”…. has there ever been a period of “experimenting” with heterosexual marriages? I doubt it….. so were does this man gets the notion that homosexual marriage is in a state of “experiment”?

New Zeland will have gay marriage – like it or lump it!

Fuck off back to Iran bigots!

That soldier is cute and hot!

Why did he commit suicide, we will possibly never know?

I like a man in uniform (police, US Marines or soldiers!

  6. At least New Zealand is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Australia in having equal marriage, while here in Convict Land (better know as backward Australia) under the Gillard And Tony Taliban Christian Dictatorship Alliance!

Australia will have gay marriage sometime in 2050!

  7. This is surprising, I always thought NZ was very accepting of gay people.

    1. It just goes to show there are dinosaurs in every society.

  8. My deepest sympathies for the Hughes family.

I cannot imagine the pain you must be going through to lose him .
