    1. No no no no no no no no no!!!!! :)

The Australian Labor Party is about equivalent to the Tories (both parties have about a 50/50 split in favour of things like equal marriage, fair-go immigration, and increased welfare support). The Liberal Party and their National Party coalition partners are far closer to UKIP and the TeaParty.

  3. The rainbow crossings look fantastic. We really need one on every street here in Northern Ireland.

I don’t know. I think it’s an enormous waste of money. There are higher priorities in the Sydney City area. There are countless numbers of footpaths in desperate need of repair. There are plenty of roads that need repair as well.

This is nice, but it just can’t be justified.

I wonder if the ‘new’ Pope wants to come visit you and the city would be so concerned about wasting money.
Australia seems keen to uphold ‘church’ values at all cost even if it means treating LGBT citizens like ****.
Roads and footpaths will always crumble here’s a chance to flick one at Julia Gillard and you missed it for a few measly dollars.
      Shame on you all.

  6. I am gay and live up the road from the crossing. I am also a Clover supporter – HOWEVER, the cost of this is crazy and the crossing in only temporary. I am not a penny pincher, but there are so many things this money could have done of a more permanent nature to the betterment of the community. I don’t think this was one of Clover’s better ideas.

How stupid and embarrassing is my own country Australia to spend thousands or millions of dollars on a temporary rainbow crossing – when at the same time there are homeless people there and here in Convict Penal Colony UK land (or Australia) gay marriage is still not legal here!

    FOR SHAME!

Time to pass the gay marriage bill Australia or I am moving to New Zealand soon!

Time and time again the Greens have introduced the gay marriage bill numerous times and NOTHING at all as per usual happens.

    Gutless and stupid pricked politicians!
