They’ll get close with the veto override, but not close enough. Every Democrat Senator + 3/16 Republican Senators is doable, but 6/32 Republican Representatives is a big ask when a good few Democrat Representatives didn’t vote for the measure originally and Christie may turn in to a powerful Republican figure in the next few years. You can bet that that last GOP member will extract a high price for their yes vote given how potentially damaging it could be for them.
They’ll have much more luck in passing the referendum bill and quite a good chance of passing it on the ballot. I worry that they publicise that possibility though. Any shrewd Republican will say ‘put it to the people’ rather than infuriate their boss.

They just can’t stop themselves can they. When will they stop debating us like some piece of meat. They are NOT superior!!
Human Rights and just plain decency much never, should never be a matter of debate. They should be matter of course, of equality.
They never see the damage their bigotry does. I hope one day they will and that they apologise for the disgusting way they treat us.
PS Welcome though what the democrats are trying to do!

For an override of a veto, you need another 3 votes in the NJ Senate and another 12 votes in the NJ House!
That means you need 1 vote from a Republican in the Senate and 4 votes from Republican lawmakers!
Lets hope these Republicans are not threatened by the big fat bigoted Republican NJ Governor!
