    Oh, that’s very nice of them isn’t it…. wtf?
    Are we supposed to be greatful?

    Why are heterosexuals continuing to plan ahead for us…. Will someone tell them their is no planning…. it’s called Equality for a reason.

  3. I would hate to be referred to as a wife as I am 100% male even though I usually am sexually the submissive partner. The term “wife” has connotations of femininity and I would find it offensive. I think AP’s original guideline to refer to male-male marriage partners as “partner” was correct an inoffensive.

    1. You’ve missed the point entirely: the developing usage is to refer to either one of a male couple as ‘husband’ interchangeably, and either one of a female couple ‘wife’.
