If Russia wants to argue about what it thinks are the child’s best interests, then a little input from the child wouldn’t to too much to ask.
We’re talking about Russia.. not the sort of place where the government even CARES what its citizens think. Besides, the child is no longer a Russian citizen, I presume. (we don’t know how old this child is.. to become an American citizen you must renounce any other citizenship)
Pathetic to the extreme. The child is adopted and living in America with his two mothers. What are the Russians actually going to do? Invade the USA to snatch him back?
The sad thing is that Russians actually think this is their country being strong. Instead it makes them look like the ridiculous peasants with 19th century attitudes they seem to be turning into.
