  1. This man’s stupidity astounds me. There’s a higher incidence of male on male than female on male abuse which indicates some form of problem? Of course that’s the case because a higher proportion of men than women have sexually abused children. By his logic no male scoutleaders should be allowed whatsoever.

    1. If you apply his logic, there would be no male mentors allowed in any organization because of the risk factor. Actually if you go a stage further perhaps considering his opinion he shouldn’t be allowed to be a father, because as a male he also posses a risk to his own kids well being!

      As for his opinion “I won’t ask…”

  2. Tony Perkins sits on a throne of dead gay kids. He will do or say anything to push a gay child or teen so far from his parents love that they hide their sexuality in a mental cage. If is as evil as evil comes. One day he will get when is coming to him.

Another idiot who can’t see beyond the fact that not only adult indentify as LGBT.

The fact such adult feel it’s ok to discriminate against children (let alone adults) is well beyond contempt.

This is what passes for “Family values” in the States? Guess no men should coach girls in any sport or even the debate team.
What can you say to ignorance like this.

  5. such as the military don’t have any more, that one?

I gave the best part of 10 years of my life to Scouting. How can anyone discriminate against a male just because he ‘may’. Later on after I retired I had two of my scouts contact me through a gay site thanking me for being a role model for them growing up. They feel that society was against them but because I accepted them for how they are they fely better about themselves and have gone on to grow into good men. As for the Tory Minister he should retire and go to the country n tend his shepp.

  7. So the “Family Research Council” would promote deceit as a moral value worthy of the BSA.

  8. Tony Perkins is obsessed with gay sex, so much so that every time I hear him talk about it I get the impression he’s talking about himself.

    1. … and don’t you think that’s the case with ALL homophobes? People who are comfortable with their sexiuality are NEVER homophobic. Only self-haters – with deep, unacknowledged fears about same-sex attraction – present homophobic opnions. “Show me a homophobe; I’ll show you a closet case …”

  9. Before too much longer, I think the Republicans will have to adopt a similar policy.

  10. How would Mr. Tony Perkins like a ‘no breeders’ policy? Because that’s the exact same discrimination he’s spewing from his mouth in comparison. It’s easy for him to criticise too when he is in a majority… try walking a mile in a gay persons shoes – what an ignoramus!

Mr. Perkins, does the “don’t ask, don’t tell” make your life easier to explain?
