It shows again the danger of the promotion of multi-culturalism and of the moral relativism at the expense of promotion of the positive secularity of the state.

  2. Jock S. Trap 19 Feb 2013, 4:06pm

These people have no place in British Society… End of!

    1. That There Other David 19 Feb 2013, 4:13pm

Why limit that statement to just Britain? These people have no place in any society as far as I’m concerned. Nothing going on between their ears other than a messed-up dog’s dinner of jumbled quotations and twisted verses. Waste of a brain.

      1. So….both of you think that the best reaction to one group telling another that they should be removed from society is to respond in PRECISELY THE SAME MANNER? I really hope you’re both trying to be ironic, because the alternative is that you’re idiots. Try to behave like adults and distinguish yourselves in a positive manner from people who make disgusting statements.

I felt quite strongly about this news story, but both of your comments have made me question whether I really should support any side in this matter.

        – A straight guy

        1. That There Other David 19 Feb 2013, 5:02pm

You really see these things as equivalent? I’m advocating removing those that incite murder from society, because they by their own words are a danger to others.

She, on the other hand, is advocating murder of those she doesn’t like.

          Equivalent to you? Really?

        2. But no-one here is advocating or attempting to justify murder.

You question whether there’s a side to support in this matter? Seriously?

        3. Jock S. Trap 19 Feb 2013, 5:10pm

No really a strong argument there Will S.

If someone says that others in a society should be put to death even though they are not breaking any laws, just to be provocative and discriminating then they should not be part of that society nor country.

Telling someone they should be removed because they advocate the murder of innocent people is hardly the same as saying they should be removed from harm.

          Pathetic argument actually Will S!

          1. Jock S. Trap, how do you story someone being a part of a society or a country? Especially if they are a citizen of that country.

        4. Jock S. Trap 19 Feb 2013, 5:13pm

If we are responding to a story and it’s contents how does that equate to all?

Try seeing what debate is about Will S… and read the bloody story before sprouting off for the sake of it.

        5. Yeh! Straight back into the closet by the look of it.

    2. A BIG QUEER BOY ! 20 Feb 2013, 6:55pm

well mr strap. you mean the muslims or the gays ?

      1. Jock S. Trap 21 Feb 2013, 10:52am

Well being that being Gay ISN’T illegal in this country and calling for people to be murdered for who they are, even though under the law they aren’t doing anything wrong you go figure.

  3. They’re also investigating the way the information was obtained? Meaning, the person who asked the questions and recorded them may be penalised?

    THAT is screwed up!

    1. Let’s hope it means nothing more than they want to verify that the footage is genuine and hasn’t been tampered with.

      1. I agree, Adam, totally screwed up.
A prior statement from Students’ Union Wellbeing Officer Cat Gray doesn’t instill confidence: “We are deeply concerned with the covert filming of a student event within the Union. We are also deeply concerned by the suggestion that comments of a homophobic nature have been made.”…

The fact that she decides to prioritize the “covert filming of a student event” above an organization obviously spreading filth in the union is appalling.

        1. students have pocket recorders – you know for recording lectures – the whole reason they are at university … to learn? shock horror for using that to also record evidence of social injustices – this person is a HERO!

    2. If there is any hint of investigation into the hero from Student Rights, there will be uproar.

  4. That There Other David 19 Feb 2013, 4:09pm

You could believe this crap too, if you start off deranged then self-hypnotise several times a day.

How murdering all the gay people on the planet helps the world’s women aspire to better things is anyone’s guess. But then, it’s religion, who needs logic or reason eh?

    1. ” self-hypnotise several times a day” !

Excellent term! Haven’t come across that one before! It describes exactly what every Muslim must do FIVE TIMES PER DAY. That is, get down on his knees, face Mecca, put his forehead to the floor, and repeat all the phraseology of the brainwash.

There’s never a chance for any other message to get to the brain. That’s what’s so frightening about the disciplined regime that is Islam. It’s not a once-a-week affair like frightful Xianity.

    2. barriejohn 19 Feb 2013, 8:39pm

Not only Islam, though, but almost all religions. I was a Christian, and could see that self-hypnosis was taking place, aided by prayer, singing, chanting, meditation, and so on. It can be very subtle – as in the solemnity of a sacred building – or much more “in your face” – as at a revivalist-type meeting – but it’s going on all the time, and counteracts the “doubts” that believers have when they start to look at things rationally!

  5. Jesus moran 19 Feb 2013, 4:16pm

The UK really needs to keep an eye on this fanatics , it seems the enemy lives inside more than outside am really scare to move there with my partner.

    1. These fanatics are Hizb ut Tahrir. They have been operating in Britain for 27 years, saying they want us executed. The Labour Party said “we will ban them” and didn’t, the Conservatives behaved the same. Why won’t they ban them? Because if they ban them, the claim is they will become terrorists. But surely they are an insignificant bunch of “extremists”? No. They got 10,000 muslims to their 2002 conference at Wembley. The politicians think that banning this group will lead to an additional 10,000 muslim terrorists in Britain. That’s why they are allowed to get away with it. The Quilliam Foundation says that there are now 20 muslim groups in Britain spouting the same islamo-fascist crap. And the gay media have been complicit in all of this, so desperate not to offend muslims.

  6. If I’m reading the article correctly, they’re not just investigating a student group which advocated the killing of gay people, but Colin Cortbus, the student who recorded the dialog, as well? Mr. Cortbus should be given an honor for student journalism, not investigated.

    1. GulliverUK 19 Feb 2013, 4:25pm

Small hidden tape recorders are your friend, in all sorts of instances, we wouldn’t have know about the B&B comments if someone hadn’t had a tape recorder in pocket.

My only complaint would be, you need to make sure the microphone can pick up the sound a bit more clearly than this recording :(

Admission: My old 2004 slightly bulky, but cutting edge at the time, iRiver, MP3 player, records as well !!!! And the microphone on that piece of hardware is very good. I keep it in case I should bump in to someone who ….. thinks …. they’re famous.

Basically, in terms of people who would make statements off-camera, out of the spot-light, in hidden places, in hushed voices, people should be recording and exposing those people – so that we know who they are and what they’ve been saying in their shadowy world.

    2. Absolutely agree that Colin Cortbus deserves honor for performing real journalism.

  7. GulliverUK 19 Feb 2013, 4:19pm

    17mins in.

NOTE. The video appears to be from 2009, and it’s impossible to tell from the actual video that it’s associated with the university, it’s filmed in a room with no real identifying features, and only a few people there. Shocking ignorance yes, hate crime, in my opinion, yes, worthy of a fine or short sentence yes, worthy of expulsion if they are at uni yes, worthy of shutting down the Islamic society yes, or video recording ALL their activities yes, infringing their privacy is ok? yes, given what may have occurred.

But I suspect a more up-to-date recording could be easily found, from some unis, today.

There is no danger with multi-culturalism, the danger is with unreasonable people and unreasonable beliefs – Christianity has the same beliefs and punishments.

    1. Yes, but if a Christian speaker were to say he’d be comfortable with killing gay people, there’d be a similar level of shock and disgust – at least I hope there would be.

Where did you see that it’s from 2009? The article says it was last Wednesday.

      1. GulliverUK 19 Feb 2013, 4:33pm

If you watch the video on the link I provided, there is a timecode in the bottom right-hand side.

Doesn’t matter who says it, it’s wrong and should be exposed and the law has to punish it. It’s unacceptable to say any group of people should be killed. Our sexuality is a protected characteristic, because of historical bigotry and homophobia, and the law recognises this. I feel exactly the same way about anyone inciting hatred of Muslims to be honest, or Christians. There needs to be a lot more love in the world – and I will try to do my bit by not hating other people. I will sometimes get really mad and angry by others, and I might even occasionally get very intolerance for a short while, but I’ll never hold a long-term views that this group, or that group as a whole is all bad and worthy of being discriminated against. Even the anti-gay Christian are few in number compared to ‘real’ Christians. POLLs in this paper show majority of Muslims are proud of gay rights laws in UK.

      2. Student Rights 19 Feb 2013, 4:35pm

Just to clear this up, the video is from 2009 as the recorder is stuck on factory settings. It was filmed last week, have a look at the group’s Facebook page where they are discussing it:

        1. Student Rights 19 Feb 2013, 4:36pm

Sorry, meant to say “appears to be from 2009”.

        2. GulliverUK 19 Feb 2013, 5:00pm

Fair enough, it’s recent. I’d investigate it even IF it were from 2009. The group don’t really do themselves any favors by their statement.

“It was a hypothetical discussion” (from their fb post)

          How ridiculous.

        3. Nick Davis 19 Feb 2013, 8:53pm

The link has been taken down

      3. Yes I think there would be at least as much disgust, probably more.

The problem here is that people on the whole get rather scared at criticizing a faith thats largely non white.

    2. The date is wrong because of camera settings, the society have admited to making to comments last week

    3. ” The video appears to be from 2009″.

I have a “spy pen” that records audio and video. It came with no instructions, so I cannot change the date/time on the recordings (i.e. they are always wrong), because every time it runs out of power & I re-charge it, they get reset to the factory default.

    4. Yes I saw 2009 too but I also think we can put it down to the camera setting.

After all not a single person has denied what was said by this rancid Islamic Nazi.

  8. “‘If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

    Leviticus 20:13

    Its been said already

    1. Run along, troll.

    2. Jesus moran 19 Feb 2013, 4:48pm

@ AidenHere we go again with what the bible say , what the hell are you doing in this website , is because of people like you there is so much chaos in this world , is because of you the world is a big mess, eliminate religion for a better world !!!

    3. Oh dear troll.
For fun here is a list of 76 thing also banned in Leviticus

I hope your not wearing mixed fabrics!

    4. Jock S. Trap 19 Feb 2013, 5:17pm

Yeah and the Bible also says kill naughty children and we don’t do that either…. if fact it would be somewhat frowned upon Aiden.

Use you bloody Bible all you want but it has no relevance in teh 21st Century.

    5. Aiden….get well soon. xxx

      1. Cool story, bro!

    6. Bronze Age barbarians have said all sorts of things. Now bugger off.

    7. A BIG QUEER BOY ! 20 Feb 2013, 7:26pm

are you secret gay aiden ? i think you are as so called straight guys that are gay protest too much and your classic case book you sweety you. try the gay sauna in canal street, you will love it or do you know it very well already you big butch queen. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    8. After it had been retranslated bunches of times

  9. Midnighter 19 Feb 2013, 4:42pm

Wow.. so you guys want a xenophobia? like they want homophobia? This is not about multi-culturalism.

    1. But no-one is advocating the death of Muslims, nor would I say that anyone here considers that to be morally acceptable.

To reject the desert extremism of some Muslims, and to find it unacceptable with present-day values in the UK, is not xenophobia.

    2. Dave North 19 Feb 2013, 5:01pm

We are not the ones advocating the others death.

      Its called self defence.

    3. Jock S. Trap 19 Feb 2013, 5:20pm

      Er Crazy says what now?

So you support the murder of innocent people then?

    4. That There Other David 19 Feb 2013, 5:51pm

You’re right there. It’s not about multiculturalism. It’s about a deranged lunatic who wants to murder us….and still being permitted to walk the streets.

  10. Liam the God 19 Feb 2013, 5:01pm

Nobody hold your breath for any action: These Islamic groups tend to get the Anti-Fascists on their side, presumably on the grounds that only White people can be racist and/or fascist.

    1. barriejohn 19 Feb 2013, 8:43pm

      Yes; it’s their “culture”.

  11. When I was a student at an English university some years ago I met a handsome Egyptian at a gay disco. I took him home. He was a Muslim. We met on a number of occasions. Then he became very nervous on learning that the student who lived in the flat above mine was from Iran. Some time later I got to know the Iranian, who was also very handsome! He was single. I had observed that every couple of weeks this Iranian was visited by a voluptuous Middle Eastern woman, so he was clearly into pre-marital sex! Unfortunately I mentioned in conversation with the Iranian that I knew the Egyptian, though I didn’t relate the romantic involvement. The Iranian immediately became suspicious. Later the Egyptian told me the Iranian had started rumours about him amongst Muslims on campus. And then, sadly, I learnt that the Egyptian had dropped his studies and returned to Egypt. That’s what it’s alike among these finger-pointing religious folk.

    1. I ought to have said that soon after the voluptuous Middle Eastern woman ascended to the flat of the Iranian, his bedroom, directly above my study, always began to shake and shudder with grunts, groans, and the banging against a wall of a bed-head! My unmarried Muslim neighbour would always go at it hammer and tongs for a good half-hour!

      1. Now THAT’s something you should have recorded and spread rumours about!

    2. If you knew that the Egyptian was worried about the Iranian guy finding out about him, why did you mention the Egyptian guy to the Iranian guy at all? Why couldn’t you just keep your mouth shut? Tosser.

      1. Clive… you’ve hit the nail on the head…!!!

        Yes… it’s a shame that some people don’t know the old saying…
Silence is golden… but gaffer tape is silver!
I mean he must have known how homophobic Muslims are…
He must have realized that the Iranian guy was straight…
Why on earth didn’t he put two and two together…?
But then again… some people just can’t do the maths…!

        1. Not all muslims are homophobic … just some of them the same way some christians are homophobic or some white people are racist.

  12. GulliverUK 19 Feb 2013, 6:01pm

I would be interested to know if the women in this video has any intention of applying for a job in society. When her face and name is all over the papers in the nect couple of days what chance has she except working at the Muslim Council of Britain. How does she think she has helped or damaged the image of Muslims? Willl the MCB denounce her comments?

    1. I haven’t seen much of the video (I’ve been sneaking onto PN at work), but all I saw was a woman in a niqab with what looked like dark glasses on (which in itself was sinister enough): is there any way of identifying the woman or women later in the clip?

      1. i can’t even understand what she was saying … hopefully a transcript will go up

  13. I reckon if you had a hidden camera in the majority of mosques you’d hear the same thing – daily.

The majoirty of christians promote our hate. But when you look at the muslim world you realise how deep rooted islamic homophobia is. Just imagine a country where it was legal to kill a muslim? It wouldn’t happen – the international community wouldn’t stand for it – but it’s okay for muslims in the middle east to lawfully kill us.

    1. barriejohn 19 Feb 2013, 8:49pm

I was an evangelical Christian when I was younger. Many people would be shocked to hear what THEY say in the privacy of their homes and meeting rooms as well, and not just about gay people. I know some who still hold that black people are under the curse of God as related in the Book of Genesis!

      1. gulliveruk 19 Feb 2013, 9:23pm

So we need some tape recorders and the willingness to go amongst the cults and their followers, to gather evidence, to shock the world?

Sounds like a plan. Sign me up.

  14. Nick Davis 19 Feb 2013, 8:55pm

Hope the Chairperson was wearing her Burka and had a male member of her family with her, otherwise, she may have to be stoned.

  15. The danger of religion is obvious. Extremists who take old books seriously are very dangerous. They need to be exposed and expelled for civilized society.

  16. NorthernIrishGuest 19 Feb 2013, 11:08pm

Don’t forget that these disgusting attitudes towards the LGBT community also come hand-in-hand with dreadful attitudes towards women and more generally oppressive gender roles governing women AND men – virginity, self worth, “modesty”, independence, hyper masculinity, “violence and duty”. This type of “faith” is dangerous to the most vulnerable in our society and it should be the duty of every person to stop them from succeeding in their barbaric aims. We all should be protecting our rights as people, not just as individual “gay” men or “lesbian” women, but frankly just as “free” men and women.

A big WELL DONE to the student for exposing this. I’m sure there are some uncomfortable times ahead for those speaking at this event!

    1. Liam the God 19 Feb 2013, 11:29pm

They’ll probably discipline the one that made the recording before they take action against the Homophobes. As I said; too many “Anti-Fascists” only equate fascist behaviour with White people (look at how UAF are mates with Anjem Choudry, ffs!)

      1. The Anti-Fascist league refuses to accept the existence of Islamofascism. This is why so many uni campuses have been infected with Islamist rhetoric & nothing is being done to stop it.

  17. Let’s hope action is taken against these vermin. PN, please keep us posted.

  18. East Anglian 20 Feb 2013, 2:23am

Would this be the same guy?

  19. This man of God is very commendable to be concerned about social cohesion. A great deal of it, of course, is created by killing people you don’t approve of.

  20. I seriously doubt this attitude is held by a minority of any kind of muslim, especially not amongst young males, far more likely to be the majority of them. Islam preaches death to everyone who is not a muslim, no exceptions.

  21. A BIG QUEER BOY ! 20 Feb 2013, 7:18pm

lets have a witch hunt on aiden because i think hes secretly GAY ! that right aiden, i think YOUR A BIG FAT QUEER BOY JUST LIKE ME. XXXXXXXXX

  22. It’s hardly surprising. Study after study has shown that the vast majority of muslims (especially UK Muslims) express hardline anti-gay opinions.
Now, before anyone attributes this to one particular race. It’s not. No more than the white bigots in some extreme US towns, anyway.
This is cultural, and religious dogma.
Muslims, are by far more conservative in their views on issues like homosexuality. This is a cultural and religious theme, not an ethnicity issue.
That being said, things like this, and the UK Muslim channel issue need dealt with. And not with kid gloves because muslims tend to be overly sensitve

  23. #Manxunionneedssortingout 21 Feb 2013, 4:25pm

For me the student Union needs to really have a massive look at themselves, not just on this issue. They allow ‘talks’ such as this to take place using union facilities whilst others are declined who have great INCLUSIVE reasons for using their facilities.

  24. thoughtful 21 Feb 2013, 5:47pm

No it’s just normal ‘progressive left wing thinking

  25. thoughtful 21 Feb 2013, 5:56pm

Go and find LGBT people living in areas with a high Moslem population and ask them just how extreme/normal this thinking is. It might not be contained in the Qur’an but there are another two books given almost equal weight, the Hadith and the Sunnah, and the punishment is contained in the Hadith.
I’m afraid that this is mainstream Islam, and not extremism. Why else would certain councils refuse to allow LGBT teaching & training in schools because Moslems are offended if this were only the case with extremists.

It’s always the way, unacceptable Moslem beliefs when expressed are batted away by apologists as ‘extreme’ or ‘radical’ when they are nothing of the sort.

Unfortunately in the Heirarchy of ‘Isms’ Pakistani Moslem men are at the top, and Islam trumps homophobia by no small measure. No wonder that the investigator is being investigated, because he has obtained proof and the loonies on the left cannot simply deny this actually took place.

  26. soapbubblequeen 8 Oct 2013, 8:58pm

The Vice Chancellor of Manchester University should inform every head of department to cancel the student status of all persons that were involved in organizing this despicable meeting. These people should be frogmarched from any student accommodation and not allowed to be present upon any campus. The university registry should then inform the Home Office who these “students” are, and their visas cancelled. The appropriate authorities should then be able to knock on their door and take them to Heathrow airport where it’s bye-bye time.
