  1. God-bothers just metaphorically knicker-sniffing and obsessing over what everyone else does in order to fulfil a gap in their own lives. They have some deep rooted desire to have control over the lives of others to make up for their own bloody impotence and irrelevance.

In the real world – the one they only seem to occasionally inhabit – we use facts and information. Not the retrograde nonsense that they “feel” might be right. Which is just as well, because if decisions were made from feelings not from thoughts, the human race would still be banging bloody rocks together.

    1. Absolutely right about the gap in their lives. Every bully, every person who sticks their nose into other people’s business is only exposing their own inadequacies and insecurities.

Of course the benefit for extending this is that these children are wanted out of love, not out of duty. Therefore are given the homes any child would be pleased to have, stable, loving, caring etc.

Anti-abortion groups should keep their conks out of business they know nothing about… but as per usual it’s unlikely!

Words fail me, This is an anti abortion group, a stance that I agree with, unless the mothers health mental or otherwise will be effected if abortion is not carried out. But in this case it is about people wanting children. So is Anthony Ozimic, now looking for his 3 minutes of fame or is he a homophobe ro just another stupid Catholic that thinks equal rights are for them alone. Get real man. fight the fights you can win because you are not going to win any fights which effect our equal rights

    1. “Same-sex couples do not have fertility problems, they have chosen a naturally non-fertile lifestyle”

That told me all I need to know about the man Keith.

      1. Agreed. Apparently, Anthony Ozimi thinks that IVF is the only way for a lesbian couple to get pregnant.

        Dear Anthony Ozimi –
Let me introduce you to the lesbian communities two best friends: Mr. Turkey Baster and Mr. Willing Gay or Straight Male Friend.

    2. How can you advocate limiting a woman’s choices when it comes to her own body? Why should anybody other than the woman herself have any say over what happens to her?

As VP says below, anti-abortion stances are utterly misogynistic and come from a patriarchal world-view where women are objects to be controlled, subject to the whims of others.

You go on to talk about equal rights and even go as far as to say you think Ozimic belongs to a group “that thinks equal rights are for them alone”. It seems you also believe in equal rights for yourself, but not for others, in this case women.

    3. Another man who believes women shouldn’t have control over their own bodies; no better than the catholics and homophobes you criticise.

      1. Well said and I agree completely.

    4. Interesting that you disagree with abortion, Keith. I’m assuming you won’t be falling pregnant any time soon… It’s not really something you need to have an opinion on.

    5. PantoHorse 18 Feb 2013, 2:33pm

Your position is quite indefensible, Keith. You want equality for yourself, but would deny it to others. Control of one’s own reproductive system should also be a universal equal right.

  4. Given that an anti-abortion stance can only come from a place of misogynistic patriarchal stupidity in the first place, who is at all surprised? They oppose the provision of one type of sexual healthcare on irrational and bigoted grounds, why does anyone expect them not to oppose others likewise?

  5. Being homosexual is no more a choice than being hetrosexual…and I always thought you got married for love not to just pro-create….you can easily do that without getting married hence why there are so many kids in unstable hetro ‘families’…..the man talked through his rear…SPUC should keep their snouts out of things they clearly know nothing about

  6. Craig Denney 18 Feb 2013, 12:05pm

I don’t have kids but pay tax that would support them and have been paying for years the Tax that supports everyone else to have things like IVF and we should have all that money backdated.

    1. Lukas yates 18 Feb 2013, 2:22pm

      I completely agree!

Infertile heteros are in the same boat then. If these bigots want IVF banned for gays, then the same must apply to heteros who can’t procreate the natural way.

Religious nutters “choose” their beliefs (lifestyle), we don’t have any say in our sexual orientation. I’m sick and tired of my taxes supporting bloody religious faith schools and churches. About time we had a say in that.

  8. The religious nutters and anti-gay people come in two classes: neurotics and psychotics. The difference between them are:

A psychotic thinks 2 + 2 = 5, there is no convicing them otherwise, and they will fight to the death to prove themselves right in the face of evidence to the contrary correct perception.

A neurotic knows that 2 + 2 = 4, but just does not like it.

  9. Ah, yes. One of those fascinating irregular verbs:
1st person: I/we act for the good of society.
2nd person: Thou/you indulge in social engineering.
3rd person: He/she/it/they bring about the downfall of civilization.

    1. Yes, because The Netherlands has fallen to the gays, and it’s obviously in a state of utter chaos, with much gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands. Much wailing and cursing in the streets.

      *dramatically cups ear*
      *hears birdsong*

These idiots are never happy! Abortion, they say, is Murder, but IVF and Contraception are SOCIAL ENGINEERING? I have a personal hatred for these kind of people (and yes, it is a HATRED!), and if I were to see any of them protesting anywhere when I was driving I would mount the kerb and do a little POST-NATAL Abortion for the sake of the Planet! Annoying, pious, bullying sacks of shit they are.

  11. James Taylor, health officer for gay rights charity Stonewall, dismissed the SPUC’s claims. “There is no research that shows being brought up by two dads or two mums puts you in any worse position than being brought up by a mum and a dad,” said Mr Taylor.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
Is there any research which shows that being brought up by two people of the same sex does NOT put you in a worse position than being brought up by your natural parents?

  12. “Marriage will be undermined because we will no longer be able to teach our children that marriage exists to protect them.” Really! And what about child abused by their married heterosexual father or mother? How come they are not protected by marriage if marriage exist to protect them?????

    Their speech is so thoughtless!!!
