Mr.Youssef get a life. You are so far behind in your knowledge of history and your claims that you actually believe you are accurate in your assessment.
Mr. Youssef they stated the same in the US when whites could marry blacks…wow..didn’t see sky daddy coming down to zap anybody. They said the same during the heretic trials of Galileo and, nope, no end in sight. They said the same when the Earth was flat, man walked with dinosaurs and the list goes on.
What you failed to mention is the relgious leaders cannot control the LGBT of the world. That has been known from early times. That is why we were selected in Greece for our own army, why we were accepted in Rome, and why the American Indians found us to be “special”. We offered things you breeders never dreamed possible.
Perhaps you need to get your head out of your rectum and see the light. We are NOT going away…your religious convictions are a choice..my being gay never was.

“The idea of same-sex marriage is troubling even to some homosexuals, let alone those who hold a biblical conviction that marriage is intended by the Creator to be between a man and a woman.”

I think they call it a Gish Gallop, when you pack so much rapidfire stupid into one interview it’s almost impossible to keep up, let alone refute it point by point.
But this part stands out for me.
If gay marriage is troubling for ‘some homsexuals’ then they’re under no obligation to have a gay marriage – however just like the straight detractors of gay marriage they have no stake in anyone else’s arrangements.
In the creation MYTH he refers to, Adam paired off with a clone from his own ribcage, and had two sons, which begs a question about where the grandkids supposedly came from. Let’s just say I don’t see the shining example of traditional nuclear family Youssef sems to think they were.
As for the apocalyptic predictions, I think R.E.M said it best…

I wonder which is more likely to end the world:

    a) Religious fundamentalists getting control of a country and their hands on nuclear weapons, or
    b) a loving, stable and lifelong relationship between 2 men being given full legal recognition.

    Hmmm.

  15. One would think that, as a Christian he would condone polygamy. After all, one the most respected, and thought of one of the wisest men, in the bible was King Solomon, him and his 800 wives, and 200 prostitutes.
In fact polygamy was quite the norm for biblical characters.
Of course, the “gay marriage will lead to this “insert here” marriage, is laughable.
Straight marriage will lead to gay marriage. So lets just scrap marriage altogether.

That word alone shows what sort of character this evil man has….televangelists are notorius thieves who manage to get the gullible, the ignorant and the needy to send their cash to them in order to ‘secure’ “god’s blessings” for themselves. Really? Can any rational person ever believe that god needs his/her money? What on earth would an omnipotent being need with our money? Even if one did believe such fairy tales, giving money to an idiot on TV who tells you you’re going to hell unless you send him all your money is a stupid idea/belief…there is no moral high ground for this fool to stand upon. He is just another parasite upon the rump of Humanity….

  25. Michael Youssef was born in 1948 in Assuit, Egypt. Originally a Muslim he converted to Christianity in 1964 at the age of 16. During the Six-Day War Youssef left Egypt for Lebanon where, after six months, he visited the Australian embassy and was granted a temporary visa to that country. While in Australia, Youssef studied at Moore Theological College in Sydney, was ordained as a minister, and met his wife, Elizabeth.

The Youssefs came to America in 1977, and in 1978 Youssef received a master’s degree in theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in California. He later earned a doctorate in social anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Michael Youssef worked for nearly 10 years with the Haggai Institute, traveling around the world, teaching courses in evangelism and church leadership to church leaders, eventually rising to the position of managing director at the age of 31. Youssef became a U.S. citizen in 1984 and currently resides in Atlanta.

    1. This Muslim Egyptian escaped his poverty-stricken country and “struck gold” by converting to Xianity, getting hold of American citizenship, and making a mint of the tele-evangelism business!

A clever, crafty, and a cunning man. And, unfortunately, a force to be reckoned with.

He founded the Church of the Apostles in 1987 proclaiming the mission to “Equip the Saints and Seek the Lost.” From its initial size of around 40 members, the congregation has since grown to over 3,000 people and was the launching pad for Leading the Way–an international ministry which broadcasts via radio and television to over 200 countries and in over 20 languages.

That’s small potatoes if it’s the megachurch racket. But if your congregation is well-heeled and you’re skimming a 10% tithe from their incomes, it’s still a nice little earner.
