A wonderfully exotic venue in which to get CPed (and, hopefully, married)! My partner and I would certainly be up for it! Hindi music, flower round the neck, and all!
This is excellent news of Hindus overcoming their social conservatism. There is no space for homophobia in Hinduism, a belief system that accommodates cross-dressing, gender-transgressing, same-sex loving Gods and saints.
The brother of a friend of mine (who is Jewish) had a lavish wedding here to his Indian-born spouse and, rather to everyone’s surprise, the Indian side protested that they’d missed out and a second (and larger) celebration had to be done. The couple is now an accepted fixture on the apprently endless wedding circuit in that British-Indian group.

What a lovely statement Bharat Lukka has made. Someone who really gets what equality is all about. Well done and thank you.

Good to see the Hindus are starting tojoin the Liberal & Reform Jews, the Quakers, the Unitarians & the Pagans on the equal marriage stance

An excellent development, I’m impressed.

Wonderful news. It’s so nice to read something like this for a change. :)
