I think perhaps a picture of the criminal would have been more appropriate than some urinals being that he did target bars etc too!!

    1. I agree. Thankfully this article and the chosen pic are only appearing here on PinkNews. If it appeared in mainstream media it would reinforce the impression that homosexual men are to be located wherever there is a public toilet.

      1. Are you really suggesting that these crimes should not be reported in the public domain other than LGBT digital / printed news? You seem to want to cover up such crimes, why is this the case?

All too often crimes against gay men and other LGBT people go either unreported or overlooked which never helps the situation.

Having been a victim of another serial con-man in London many years ago it is difficult enough to report such crimes, let alone then have to read your ridiculous comments Eddie. It must be so very lonely on that pedestal of yours……….

I don’t think that’s what Eddy’s suggesting at all. He’s actually seems to be being thankful that the combination of this pic and article are only appearing here. For the mainstream media the combination would be a toxic mix.

          1. Thank you, PantoHorse! I’m astounded at W6’s interpretation, for which he has no provocation.

W6, look again at what Jock and I commented on: not the reporting but the manner of the reporting, namely the use of a picture of urinals beside a headline referencing the targeting of gay men, ergo the implication that gay men are to be found around urinals, which is absurd.

          2. I totally agree with th comment Jock made as he was quite rightly making a clear statement given the criminal was also targeting bars.

Your comment seemed to suggest to me that both the article & the chosen pic shoud not be used in mainstream media. The article mentions both public toilets & a cuising area & bars, whilst the photo used by PN was inappropriate the story is not.

I am suggesting that you appear to have been thankful that the story had not (at the time you made your comment) been published in the wider media. My impression of your posting comes from your previous assertions around gay venues, drugs & alcohol use etc. You have appear on occasions to make judgemental remarks in my humble opinion.

  2. Funnhy that, In other countries repeat offenders are sent to jail…

  3. Robert in S. Kensington 12 Feb 2013, 12:29pm

A repeat offender with 22 convictions? Absolutely outrageous that he’s not in prison.

    1. With 22 convictions he doesn’t sound like he’s very good at it.

  4. Wow! An ASBO! That’ll teach him!

    NOT

  5. What on earth is the use of this ASBO? Like anyone’s going to be checking – it’s not as though there are police at these facilities monitoring the acceptability of the users!

  6. As Jock S.Trap commented; Yes a picture of the bas#### would be positive. I know what urinals look like.

    1. Ah, thank you, Staircase2. I have a sneaking suspicion that the gentleman’s ethnic background may possibly have caused PinkNews to pause before posting his image. It shouldn’t have though. A criminal is a criminal, and such a criminal, one who preys on people in public places, needs to have his face publicised. This gentleman may get up to the same mischief in public places, and not only public toilets, well outside the area in which he has been banned.

      1. E = Eddy not paying enough attention!

  7. Staircase2 12 Feb 2013, 4:08pm

That article says that posters of him will be distributed – in which case why hasn’t Pink News got a picture of him themselves…?

I agree with others, the urinal shot is pretty shoddy given this is essentially also a public warning about a particular person

    1. Coz ‘e is the black man ya.

  8. AmericanBusyBodyinLondon.com 12 Feb 2013, 7:02pm

I agree the photo should have been posted. It’s right there in the press release. Scott, you might want to attribute when you lift copy straight out of a press release. Here’s the City of Westminster statement: http://www.westminster.gov.uk/press-releases/2013-02/predator-of-soho-finally-barred-by-public-toile/

  9. Funny how your all so into this guy who steals from other crims = yes any one who has sex in a public loo is a crim to and in any case he has to be bi at least , talk about bias .

    1. casparthegood 13 Feb 2013, 9:39am

And your attitude is why this offence and many other much more serious crimes still go unreported evey year. It’s probably what the REALl “crim” was counting on to escape detection. Would you rather go back to pre legalisation days when gay people were scared to report any crime against them

  10. sounds like it was pay for play in a kind of now consensual way.
