    The UK does extend further than the M25 you know.

    1. Most of us know that as we moved to London from other areas of the UK. The Old Ship is a fabulously old pub which is under-utlised . . .

      I mentioned this previously years ago and then again in the article ‘London’s Vanishing Scene’ . . .

    East London is not the place to live if you’re gay. In fact I think the whole of London has become a bit hostile if you’re gay

      This is undoubtedly true. There are far too many intolerant Islamists in
      what used to be Britain’s capital city. Thanks to the globalist loons of Labour, CONServative and Lib Dem we are suffering the mass immigration of muslims and other anti-gay immigrants. Vote nationalist!

        @Steven…
        …your comment could have come direct from 1930s Germany when another group were demonised in just the same way you are demonising Muslims and we all know how that turned out. If you really think the EDL or BNP you are sorely deluded not that either group have a hope of ever getting elected to the government of Great Britain. They would turn the country into the Afghanistan of Europe and within a couple of years you would the sort of strife common in placed like Iraq, Sierra Leon Liberia and such. Is that really the kind of country you want to live in ’cause if it is I suggest you move to one of those I mentioned and when you are going through customs and immigration be sure to let them know you are Queer and good luck with your future there.

        Do you seriously think that gay rights would be respected in Britain if either the vile EDL or BNP were in power, regardless of what bull shyte they claim at the moment with regards to Gay rights?

          Who said anything about BNP or EDL? UKIP is also nationalist, and there are a lot more politically central ones too.

          It’s just typical of leftie twats like you to immediately brand anybody that mentions immigration as a racist. This country is now awash with immigrants because of that sort of attitude where people cannot stand up and criticise the massive influx of foreigners without being labelled a N@zi. Well I would get used to hearing a lot more, because people will no longer keep quiet; the silent majority of indigenous British people have been taken for a ride, and now they are becoming vocal and fighting back.

    Zone 2 is a bit too far to travel for a pint. Although, I have been there a couple of times in my youth.

    Is the pub still as ropey as it was back then?

      Yeah. Spending huge amounts of REAL money and possibly catching a REAL dose of the clap.

      The gay scene once served a purpose, but it is now obsolete. Time to move on.

      1. You’re WAY past it to even know what the gay scene is like in London, festering away in your provincial bubble in middle England complaining about immigrants and black people. You always sound so embittered and hostile and your posts are entirely predicatable – YAWN!!
