    Yawn!
Wait for the avalanche of homophobia masquerading as religious freedom.

Not everyone in the world is as obsessed with homosexuality as Colin Hart who has made hatred and stupidity his lifes’ work.

  3. If this was a debate about inter-racial marriage wouldn’t it, with the benefit of hindsight, just be so childish and immature? The world has moved on. Teachers should not even WANT to talk about discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation. Just get over it … and move on! It’s pathetic we’re even talking about this issue ….

    Yet more mendacious propaganda!

  5. teachers teach facts not opinions. If a teacher is telling their pupils that same-sex relationships aren’t okay then they SHOULD lose their jobs

  6. Will someone please make a list of all this propaganda please? I want to be able to rub their noses in it when all these ridiculous claims are proven untrue.

My colleagues at work today made this very same comment. It shocked me that this was even mentioned (I’m not out at work, so people say these kind of things in front of me).

It’s the same with all deluded conquests, without substance to their case they feel the need to make up “facts”. What does the c4m even know about this? Just pure scaremongering.

  7. It was only on the insistence of Christians in the House of Lords that teachers were required to teach about “the nature of marriage” in the first place. And, of course there was no exemption for teachers who were ideologically opposed to marriage – e.g. if it went against their conscience to promote it.

Now the boot is on the other foot, and all the homophobes are up in arms.

    1. Thanks for that information Dave
Hoist on their own petard – this is what religious zealots always overlook about religious freedom – it is double edged, not their liscense to, without repercussion, or contradiction to ” tell the good news”.

  8. This is stupid, if a teacher told any of my younger brothers and sisters that homosexuality was wrong, that teacher would be sacked! teachers teach facts they dont teach opinions and if they do it seems they turn people into crazy, closed minded religious nuts! who try to force everyone to think, say and act as they do! sickening!

  9. Crap! Teachers have to keep their personal opinions out of the classroom so this won’t arise. If Hart’s suggesting that some teachers will refuse to teach the fact that same sex marriage exists, then he’s hugely exaggerating the numbers. Maybe a few will see it as an opportunity to try it on with the support of the UNchristian Institute and their ilk, but they’ll be a miniscule number.

‘Traditional Christian’ teachers have never fussed about teaching about divorce, evolution or other religions and yet they’re suddenly going to get all overcome with teaching about same sex marriage, are they?

  10. Only a religious zealot would think it is OK to promote or progandise their own religious views in the classroom, surely the whole purpose of teaching and learning is to engender curiosity and impart the skills to enquire and acquire knowledge and to provide the means to inform and to help their students to think for themselves and to retain and gain self confidence.

If they are doing something else they should be disiplined.

Indoctrination, propaganda and the withholding of knowledge and age appropriate information …are not the job of an educator.

Amazing isn’t it? The lengths to which they will go to find the most trivial issue and make it something bigger than it really is. Sooner or later they’re going to run out and go back to their obsession with gay sex, polygamy, incest, and bestiality since they seem to be the experts in all of it. I do wish they would come forward with official government reports from countries where they claim this is happening and point to any of those governments prepared to legalise polygamy or incest for that matter. Who is demanding them I wonder? What aren’t they mentioning islamic marriage laws where men are allowed up to four wives at a time but fail to single them out do they? That alone proves the one man one woman nonsense isn’t the norm in every country as C4M claim it is.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 6 Feb 2013, 8:24pm

….Why aren’t they mentioning islamic marriage laws I meant to have said in my previous statement.

  12. Of course a teacher who advocates homophobic sentiments should be sacked – if a teacher told a class that black people are intellectually/morally etc inferior to whites then he or she would quite rightly be dismissed. What kind of hypocrisy is it that they are permitted to be homophobic but not racist?

Public sector workers are trained to never utter discriminatory comments or else they will be heavily disciplined or potentially lose their jobs. This is GOOD. A bilious bigot teacher has the power to poison innocent teachers minds.
In fact polls have shown 82% of the public under 50 are completely in support of gay marriage. If one or two bigot teachers lose their jobs that is ALL FOR THE GREATER GOOD. Evil bigotry be it in the guise of “religion” (not real anyway and only for the simpleminded) or any other reason needs stamping out.
A teacher refusing to teach black kids, or saying girls are second class would immediately be dismissed. This is THE SAME

  15. It has to be said, current religions are no more true than pagan religions, Ancient Greek, roman, Egyptian, Norse – in fact much is derived from them. Genesis is almost identical to the Egyptian book of the dead, and the holy trinity can’t be explained because the explanation is Khepera the child sun in the morning, atum the sun disc father at midday and the Holy Ghost of the sun passing through the underworld at night. Christians just forgot they are really sun worshipping.
