    if this does go through today, can we all give a thought to all those LGBT people from the past that had to live a life so different from us today. A truely truely great day.

      Being a christian minister in favour of equal marriage I get fed up that media attention is only given to those claiming ‘religious reasons’ for opposing, using theologically dubious arguments or quoting commandments from Leviticus when they will happily ignore others from the same book. Basically they are small-minded and homophobic. Will extending marriage to same sex couples prevent any hettie couple from marrying?
