That just doesn’t jive logically. If we want to spread deviant behavior, that means we want tolerance for all kinds of behavior. IDIOT. Apparently religion ruins ones ability to think as well as speak.

    1. Lynda Yilmaz 1 Feb 2013, 6:16pm

Well of course religion ruins the ability to think. If people thought about religion, there wouldn’t be any – Doh! :)

The sky fairy speaking through this piece of idiot matter….he’s the prime example of what the Christian church has become….then they have the gaul to wonder why the pews are empty on Sunday…Just take a quick peek in the mirrow idiot…

        1. GingerlyColors 2 Feb 2013, 6:44am

Peter LaBarbera should F (Asterix, Asterix) K off!

  4. ”I think a weird version of Christianity is creeping in, you know, ‘who are we to judge’ and that whole tolerance thing.”

Hilarious. What did he think christianity was then?

    Barking mad.

    1. ‘Let him who is without sin cast the first stone’, ‘Judge not lest ye be judged’….which weirdo could have suggested such nonsense?…Oh yes…that would be Jesus….I think there’s no real doubt as to who ‘s peddling a ‘weird version of Christianity’….I just wonder how many evangelical wackos actually realise it….

  5. This guy is funny. The more they see themselves circling the drain, the more desperate they get. Jihadists huh? He’s a hoot!

    1. We just need to wait until the Coriolis effect finishes the job…

  6. Remember all those gay jihadists and terrorists?
    You know.
The ones who blow up American embassies and fly planes into the pentagon? The ones who shoot abortion doctors. The ones that strap explosives on themselves and blow themselves up in market places? The ones that try to assassinate the pope?
The ones that shoot school children?

    No?

Well you don’t live in LaBarbera world.

  7. Yes Mr LaBarbera, “that whole tolerance thing” is a rather important precept for moderate Christians, or indeed for any decent human being.

If ‘the gays’ have ever caused harm akin to that suffered by Matthew Shephard, Jamie Rodemeyer, Billy Lucas, Jamie Hubley, Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Barry Winchell, Roxanne Ellis, Michelle Abdill…. I could list a thousand more lives destroyed by the actions of prejudiced morons like yourself.

If you can name just one Christian or straight person who has suffered so much at the hands of the ‘homosexual activists’ that they have been killed or taken their own life… maybe someone can take your moronic assertions seriously.

    1. army of lovers 7 Feb 2013, 2:57pm

Point of information… Barry Winchell was straight, and was murdered for dating a woman who the attacker (and society and law) refused to recognise as a woman. To twist the knife, she was forced to appear in court in male clothes and pretend to be a man, as the laws covered gay relationships only. The collusion of some gay groups in this farce added to the injustice suffered by this brave woman. The rights of partners are still not being recognised in law. Being a woman in love with a man, this makes her straight. A cis lady would be called the grieving widow etc. Instead she was the exhibit A, the freak. It’s sick. How a court has the temerity to discriminate based on what it thinks is in or was in someone’s pants! Even a cis widow who was elderly/disabled and seen as nonsexual would be afforded the same respect shown to a young cis wife. BTW, gay families are all shapes and can include straight exes, bioparents, friends and siblings. Straight people are in our community too!

  8. I think he has the truth reversed here, we have consistently seen rhetoric from the Christian right wing zealots that is as bad as any from Jihadist. I am sure they would like to impose their own version of sharia law throughout the world.

When will they get it? I suspect never, these are intractable homophobes who have been taught and brainwashed into their homophobia since they where children. We can but hope and pray that they hurry up and die off.

  9. Brett Gibson 1 Feb 2013, 6:38pm

Funny word that, INTOLERANCE. God damn man, read a fucking book, preferably an English dictionary.

  10. Davisonbob 1 Feb 2013, 6:42pm

Actually, Mr. Barbera, you have it wrong, as do most of you right-wing pundits. See, jihadists are into killing people..and your right wing folks are the founders and co-authors of the ‘kill the gay’ bill of Uganda… I merely want my rights and you are so correct that I am intolerant. I am intolerant of ignorance and stupidity but I do not preach killing people. You do.

    1. Amen. Fundamentalists are such hypocrites. On one hand they will preach to you of an all-loving God who sent his Son to the world for their salvation, and with the very next breath they lambaste you with threats of fiery hell if you dare disagree with them. One minute they play the dutiful God-fearing American who is for Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, and the next they are lying, slandering and playing at every conceivable game in order to deny people not like them equal rights. If there is a Hell, then these nut cases definitely have a place already saved for them.

      1. If you happen to be Muslim and gay, the main organisation is Al-Fatiha but there are several others. There are historical accounts of gay relationships, and literature from the Islamic world refers to love between men and either women or men. I read my mother’s Quran twice all the way through (she is an ex-Catholic atheist, and keeps it on the shelf with the Bhagavad Gita and other texts), I don’t recall Muhammad himself specifically saying anything directly against gays. He married his boss, who was lots of taboo things: an older woman, his superior, a widow, a businesswoman. One of his wives (I forget which one) used to compete against him in running races. Most of the sex laws refer to heterosexuals so are they the ones that need controlling? The new ad for tourism in America has a couple of Asian or Arab looking women in hijabs, hopefully America goes forwards not back.

  11. “LaBarbera said: ”I think a weird version of Christianity is creeping in, you know, ‘who are we to judge’ and that whole tolerance thing.”

Do you mean? Really? Looks a lot like the “Golden Rule”. You know…. What Jesus said. How can that be so weird???

    1. bobbleobble 1 Feb 2013, 7:10pm

To these people Christianity means you have to hate the same people that they hate. It stopped being about what Jesus taught a long time ago especially to the right wing Christians in the US. It’s like Gandhi said ‘I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.’

These people have learned nothing from the Bible. I heard someone say the other day that it’s time for a little less Bible thumping and a bit more Bible learning and I think that perfectly describes the attitude of these people. They think they can say and do what they like however cruel, however evil and so long as they’re holding a Bible then it’s OK.

  12. Despicable. Pure Ku Klux Klan.

  13. Southern Poverty Law Center designated LaBarbera as anti-gay hate group,

To him hate is a badge of honor and Christian.

  14. Robert in S. Kensington 1 Feb 2013, 8:01pm

This man is also known as “porno Pete”. He goes to gay venues, clubs, bars whatever, takes photos of men engaging in sex acts apparently, then distributes them to his folllowers as an example of the “perversions’ practiced by gay people. He is said to have the largest porn collection in America, almost all of it gay porn. He’s also an ex-gay proponent. When asked why he gathers so much pornography,, he said its for ‘research purposes’. I can only imagine the kind of research he engages in.

    1. Their argument falls down when you see that the sex acts being objected to are also done by heterosexuals. If a straight married couple can do them, then why not a gay couple? If it ‘disgusts’ people so much, they don’t have to watch it! Go home and read the bible (possibly a bad idea, Lot rapes his daughters, the Jews are ordered by God to eat human excrement….). Okay, read a car parts catalogue. Or will that turn them on? (Discovering their inner object-sexual) If it’s sex you hate, weave holly and raw nettle underpants, and go and live in a cave… For a more modern solution Opus Dei can sell you a punishment device that straps to the thigh. Or for the truly cash deprived, roll around on a piece of barbed wire? Even the medieval church stopped the flagellants when it noticed they were getting off on it… Don’t go for a country walk either as all those naughty plants are having sex.

  15. I say nothing…

  16. The only people who are as intolerant as the jihadist are the anti-gay Christians who are spending millions of dollars to stop gay marriage and try to destroy LGBT people anyway they can. The anti-gay Christians are doing things some people know about and some LGBT people have no idea how low these anti-gay Christians can go. When I say these anti-gay Christians will do anything I mean anything. Some of you know and some of you suspect them and some can not see the amount of evil they are doing to LGBT people. These anti-gay Christians are your worst nightmare come true.

    1. “Dear Church, You said the power of God was in you, though you exorcised me twice and nothing happened. I’m still gay. So is God gay or progay? Or are you just a rubbish exorcist?”

  17. radical53 2 Feb 2013, 1:05am

    I quite agree.

Anyone gay even, who critises the agenda of what is happening to the gay community is accused of being a bigot etc.

You have all become so irrational and extremist in your rights and demands.

So if people are saying that you should be listed and treated like Muslim extremists, so be it.

    You brought it on yourselves.

    1. Dave North 3 Feb 2013, 9:27am

      We are on the defence.

      Not the attack.

      F#ckwit.

      1. First of all radical53… you sir are a troll!

Did you actually think before you wrote your post?

You sound like an absolute idiot…

“Anyone gay even, who critises (sic) the agenda of what is happening to the gay community is accused of being a bigot etc.”

People like, Peter LaBarbera are not merely criticizing the gay community… they are spreading vile and hate!

“So if people are saying that you should be listed and treated like Muslim extremists, so be it.”

Only a moron like yourself would agree with an imbecile such as Peter La Barbera!

Where on earth you get the logic to think that the gay community is anything remotely like, Muslim extremists… is beyond any reasonable logic in its self!

I think that perhaps, Dave North had described you in eloquent terms…

        “F#ckwit”

  18. “gay activists” are “the most intolerant people on the planet.” Let us consider his (prseumably) favourite book, “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”

It seems to me that these American style evangelical extremists so often have little interest in their own religion except inasasmuch as it can be used as a vehicle for their own prejudices.

  19. The irony is that Peter is categorising gays into a box and labelling them as intolerant people, yet the fact remains that religion has created more division and wars than legitimate wars itself. Furthermore, the fact that he is ANTI-gay, means he’s discriminating, and that isn’t very Christ-like. Not to me anyway, but I’m not claiming to be the expert, he is. All I want is equality, and it saddens me to think he believes he is doing God a service by spreading hate aimed at the gay community.

  20. You’re a Sad Bastard Peter!

  21. GingerlyColors 2 Feb 2013, 6:41am

We’ve been compared to Nazis, then Stalanists, now the ignorant brigade are likening us to Jihadists. I wish they make their ruddy minds up. Anyway since when Stalinism, Nazism and Islamic Fundamentalism been gay friendly? Perhaps Peter LaBarbera and his ilk should do a bit of research before spouting stupid statements like that.

    1. GingerlyColors…

“Perhaps Peter LaBarbera and his ilk should do a bit of research before spouting stupid statements like that.”

These idiot bigoted christians doing some research might lead them to some truthful facts?!

Truth and facts are not part of the Christian religion… lies and myths are…!

  22. GulliverUK 2 Feb 2013, 8:06am

Sorry PN, but where on earth did you get that photo.

    http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_QeYl31zc0fc/SplTcZADbNI/AAAAAAAAAR0/Cc6gIxsiAeI/s400/labarberasweaty2.jpg

You knocked 20 years off him, even if he only acts 11 and like the schoolyard bully in real life ! I didn’t recognise him at first.

Porno Pete as they call him, like to go to gay saunas and hang about watching and reporting back to the few freaks who follow him. He’s a nobody, on the very fringes of the debate. He’s been pumping out puke for more than a decade and it just makes him look mentally unstable.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Feb 2013, 12:46pm

He’s desperate because his organisation lost its tax-exempt status last year and now has to find other means of revenue. This is what it’s all about. A case of follow the money more than anything else. A pandemic in the U.S. especially on political and social issues.

  23. “Americans for TRUTH about Homosexuality”?

Well that certainly made me giggle. They really have no idea what the concept of the truth is in that case.

  24. Another vile bully crying and soiling himself because his victim hit him back and hit him harder and apparently it’s just not fair.

As for “spreading deviancy” – sounds a lot like he thinks that human sexuality is so mutable that we recruit. And we all know why people think that (I have never once, in my life, felt that I could be “recruited” or “tempted” or any other word they choose into heterosexuality).

  25. ...Paddyswurds 2 Feb 2013, 12:33pm

    YAWN… .. .!!

  26. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Feb 2013, 12:51pm

So, if we’re jihadists, then he’s the right wing christian taliban, same difference.

  27. Dave North 2 Feb 2013, 12:56pm

    Drop dead.

We are sick of listening to you an your stupid ilk.

Nasty vile sh!t of a man.

  28. When you talk out of your backside, Mr LaBarbera, guess what comes out of your mouth?

  29. The bigots really are getting desperate aren’t they. Stupid, vile little man.

  30. It is true that gays are negative to religion and understandably so since they are being hated on by religious people.

If only those gays could understand that religion and the actions of religious people are different things

Tolerance comes from within. It starts with ourselves… Being antireligion is not tolerance. Its intolerance

    1. Dave North 2 Feb 2013, 4:38pm

I am anti religion because it is a load of old b0llocks.

Toleration has nothing to do with it.

  31. Has any one got the real # of french anti homo’s who marched against marriage equality ‘ it seems with every anti news story the figure gets bigger and bigger from 400,000 to now over 1 and a 1/2 million ?

  32. so how many did take part in that anti homo marriage march ? was it 400,000 or 1 and a 1/2 million ? seems this figure rises with each day

  33. Gay Activist Paul Mitchell 3 Feb 2013, 12:55pm

    Oh please!

He is just in denial, because he is in secure about his homosexuality!

I bet after work he goes to the mens public toilets and sucks mens dicks!
