You’re a little over-sensitive and paranoid aren’t you?? Chill, learn to not take everything personally and maybe one day, you will learn to laugh.

I’ll laugh with the best of them, when it’s something that’s actually funny. I just don’t ever find phrases like “getting bummed in a public toilet” amusing, relaxed or not. There are still people in this country that think “getting bummed in a public toilet” are everyday diary items for a gay man. Those tend to be the same people that will spout bigoted crap about how children need to be protected from us and how we don’t deserve the same rights others take for granted.

So pardon me if I don’t lose a kidney through the split in my sides here.

I don’t see why this is offensive, I think it is hillarious. Same if it was a joke about a straight couple dogging and falling off the bonet of the car, its no need for every straight person to be offended. Relax & see the humour.

While it’s not necessarily amusing I see no good reason to attack someone for a light hearted joke merely on the grounds of how a homophobe could twist it to further their prejudice. Criticise the homophobe who nay twist it not the daft pranker. Your over sensitivity is hardly going to quieten those who claim we wish to subjugate them now is it? ;)

So if I don’t laugh along with something I find both unfunny and a hangover from a time when offensive language against us was commonplace I’m secretly planning to subjugate others?

You are Edward Leigh and I claim my £20 prize!!

        3. To be fair I’m gay and I think it’s a diary entry for most gay men.

  2. Not sure it’s not a fake. Where’s the regulatory statement on the site?

    Post a reply →
    1. Exactly, why would the site still be showing it after so much media attention? It was in The Sun FFS (weirdly enough with the words ‘bumming’ and ‘anal’ blurred out, to spare their sensitive readers).

The website has no telephone number, no address, nothing to indicate it’s nothing more than some cut & paste job designed to collect email addresses.

Moral of the story….ALWAYS wear a crash helmet.
PS Was his BF the one bumming him or working the video camera???

  5. Section 71 Sexual Offences Act 2003

I reckon it’s fake. You can’t easily claim compensation when you use someone’s property for an illegal activity.

    It’s a puerile fake.
I have never known any gay man use ‘bum’ as a verb. I have often heard childish homophobes do so.

  7. At 01:00UTC on Feb 2nd the offending comment is still there, which leads me to wonder if the firm contracts out its web design and the relationship had become soured?

  8. This is the most publicity this company has ever had. And it’s cost them nothing.

They won’t care if it’s a fake comment or not. If it isn’t breaking any law to leave it on show, then they won’t remove it while it is generating hits to their site and imprinting their brand in people’s minds.

Personally I think it shows how ridiculous the nature of some of these ‘claims’ are. It’s a crapppy industry and it’s driving up costs for everyone as companies factor in the payouts they make on these cases to prices they charge all customers.
