Paris Hilton is auctioning off a personalised bottle of her perfume on eBay, and will donate all proceeds to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

The reality TV star said she wants to raise money for the gay rights group, GLAAD, by selling a bottle of her fragrance, Dazzle.

The 31-year-old hotel heiress reportedly decorated the bottle herself with crystals, and has teamed up with the website Hollywoodscoop.com to run the competition.

The eBay web page for the prize reads: ”Hollyscoop received a private invitation from Paris Hilton to raid her closet! Paris let us take her 16th fragrance from her closet which she personally decorated with crystals. All of the money from this auction will be given to the charity of her choice which is GLAAD.”

Hilton has released 15 fragrances so far, and Tweeted about the competition: ”Auction for my latest fragrance, Dazzle, decorated by me. All money will be donated to @GLAAD. #Charity.”

AZCentral reported that the perfume bottle had attracted bids of $2,275 (£1,442).

Hollywoodscoop.com reported that she had created a perfume empire “worth upwards of $1.5 billion”(£950 million).

Paris Hilton issued a lengthy public apology last year after she was secretly recorded making homophobic comments to a gay friend in a taxi.

During the conversation, in which a man is heard logging on to gay dating app Grindr, Hilton says:

“Ewwww…gay guys are the horniest people in the world…they’re disgusting. Dude, most of them probably have AIDS…I would be so scared if I was a gay guy…you’ll like, die of AIDS.

In the apology, she said: “As anyone close to me knows, I always have been and always will be a huge supporter of the gay community.

“HIV/AIDS can hurt anyone, gay and straight, men and women. It’s something I take very seriously and should not have been thrown around in conversation.

“Gay people are the strongest and most inspiring people I know. It is so wrong when people bully or put down others for being gay. No one should have to go through that.”
