…and not a moment too soon. I am all for free expression, but hate crime is a totally different issue. Good on France!!

I get annoyed that the internet isn’t rid of all this hate speech. If you look on facebook, twitter and especially YouTube videos these days, the language on there is absolutely appalling. Racist and sexist but mainly homophobic comments are more than commonplace on YouTube and they go unchallenged in a place where nothing is done about it, so they know they can get away with it. Censoring this kind of language isn’t a breech of free speech. We humans are very clever creatures, too clever to let hurtful things like this to continue. Without it we’re letting it become worse than a kid’s playground with no grown ups around.

You should try the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail comments sections.

      Truly vile.

Oh but is punished. I got in trouble for hate speech after scolding someone in my own community. Lol
So yes YouTube IS cracking down…

  3. Good. Sooner or later, homophobes everywhere are going to realise the game is up. Religious brainwashing is at the root of virtually ALL homophobia. Bigots use religious books to justify their own ‘issues’. Just get over it. Some people are gay. Some aren’t. You live your life. Let others live theirs. Simples … !

Let’s hope that other countries will follow suit.

For far too long, people hide behind their twitter profile and spout vile hatred for LGBT, other race and other religions.

Would the British Government have the balls to do something similar, I doubt it!
