  1. Anyone surprised?

    Didn’t think so.

Life was hard before, it still is now, due to religion dragging everything and everyone near it into the cesspit of ignorance and poverty. I’m not sure what, if anything at all, we can actually do to help.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Don’t say I didn’t warn anybody about where the so-called ‘Arab Spring’ will lead.

It’ll be the same in Syria as well. I know that Assad is a tyrant but at least under his rule Christians and other religious minorities plus the LGBT community were fairly safe. Once he’s toppled the Islamofacists, Iranian style, will move in to fill the vacuum.

I might add that it was much the same in Iraq as well. Now the religious nutters are running the place.

Should have added that both in Syria and Iraq the dictators ran secular governments and kept the Islamofacists and terrorists at bay. We have America to thank for the current mess.

What did they think would happen? Did they really believe that life for them was going to be better under one of the leaders of the brotherhood? Reality Sux!

  7. “Come on everybody. Let’s demonstrate and demand democracy … and then band together and persecture the gays”. Nothing new here then.

People should just accept the tragic truth that the Middle East will always be doomed and we should just try to work to get these people out of there as fast as possible.

  10. Sad truth is: LGBT community has never been safe in Egypt! We have always lived in the shadows, never showing our true faces, never raising our voices, never expressing our believes! So what’s new? Anyone sane enough in this country had known from the start that the Muslim Brotherhood (who are nothing but tyrants themselves) would not fix anything, especially for us or any other minorty for that matter!
