Great news, but where are they with implementing their new constitution which guarantees LGBT equality under the law? Shouldn’t that have gone in 18 months ago?
Party politics has pretty much fallen apart as the most important minister in a very loose transition government won’t concede on a range of things relating to a long-delayed ‘proper’ election. The constitution has been drafted and scrapped about 5 times over since the monarchy was abolished a few years back. Could be a sudden breakthrough tomorrow, or in a year.
It bodes well that the country is stable though, and the equal marriage provision doesn’t seem to have disappeared from any of the drafts these past years.
