GQ and FHM have similar looking ‘lesbians’ on their covers.

Yeah, but when have you ever known fashion magazines to feature people on the cover that don’t look like supermodels? This is typical Elle, with a Lesbian twist.

    2. You know, some of us actually look quite similar to that… It’s nice to see girlie lesbians rather than the stereotypical butch girls.

And it’s not like the fashion industry has a shortage of gay and lesbian models to use, they may very well be lesbians.

And what exactly is so frigging wrong with being a ‘stereotypical butch girl’?

        1. Where did I say there was?

However some of us feel very un-included when lesbians are portrayed as power-tool wielding butch women. Great stereotype!
Sadly this stereotype is so strong in many parts of the lesbian community that girls as femme as me are often branded fake lesbians, or straight women looking for kicks.

So yes, it’s really nice to see some young, attractive, femme ladies representing lesbians.

  2. Thanks, Elle!
