It’s a long and arduous battle and there will be many more cases like this but ultimately we will win. What defence have these bigots offered other than to say they don’t have to let same sex spouses in? They have nothing.
All this does is provide more evidence for why Federal anti-discrimination laws and DOMA need to be struck down. The nastiness of the anti-equality side is so obvious it’s actually harming their cause, and they’re too damn stupid to realise it.
Now you know better than to volunteer for the United States Armed Forces, because they openly discriminate since they aren’t required by law NOT to discriminate. In other words, for the United States Armed Forces, discrimination against gays and lesbians is a choice that they have made, a lifestyle decision as it were…
So glad to be Canadian. The land of the free and home of the brave is neither.
