Wow! How did you get 10 thumbs down for stating the truth? Is this a case of trans-erasure or what? SHE appears to be trans whether the folks here like it or not.

Being gay or trans has no effect on this case what so ever. He is accused of treason and if found guilty punished to the fullest extent o the law. Things are secret for a reason and he knew that. When he enlisted he signed the US version of the Official Secrets Act so if he passed the documents on (I believe he did) he broke the law end of story. He is not a hero at all but coward for betraying his country

Has Manning transitioned and living as female? I can see no mentioned in any of the reports that he has transitioned all I have seen is that he has ‘struggled with his gender identity’. I’m trans and ex british Army myself so I know what it is like but I would have never committed treason.

Whether Mannng is gay or trans doesn’t even matter. It is the crime they are accused of that is the thing here. What i see is a soldier who betrayed their country and put fellow soldiers and airmen’s lives in danger. Does it matter on the sexual orientation or gender identity of Manning? Of course it doesn’t it is the crime that they are accused of that is the thing ie disclosing classified information to an unauthorised source. The pre trail hearing has decided that there is enough evidence to go to a full Courts Martial. If found guilty manning should have the book thrown at him.

Moron, people are born transsexual, they don’t “become” transsexual. Had her command listened to her maybe she would be transitioned by now, but they didn’t.

I know people are born transsexual as I am trans myself you imbecial. But there is no evidence what so ever that Manning has transitioned or is even thinking of transitioning. For the female pronouns to be used the person has to have transitioned from male to female. Show me the evidence that Manning has transitioned. But Mannings gender identity or sexual orientation has no bearing on this case at all. It is a case or disclosing secrets to sources not allowe to have them ie treason. There is no excuse for committing treason

no, you use female or male pronouns when they are trans not when they have gone through a process determined by ‘our betters’

Sure, of course things are secret for a reason: The guys who violated our own rules of engagement by giving the order to shoot in the July 12, 2007 Baghdad airstrike didn’t want to be tried and convicted for their war crimes. That’s the reason.

Trans-ersaure by Pink News and some of the commentators here. Pvt Manning had asked command for help for gender issues and was rebuffed. Part of Pvt Manning defense as presented by the defense team is Manning’s gender issues. Thus is it is inaccurate to advetize Pvt Manning as a gay man because it appears that SHE is probably a transexual woman. Now let’s see how many thumbs down I get for speaking the truth.
