Of course, there already is a museum of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history and culture in San Francisco: The GLBT History Museum, which celebrated its second anniversary on January 13. The museum is a project of the GLBT Historical Society, an archives and research center founded in 1985 that holds one of the largest collections of LGBT historical materials in the United States. London is the creative epicentre of the world, a magnet for all LGBT people from across the globe, why we don’t have an LGBT museum and Berlin does is beyond me

This is very much needed, I hope all goes well. In Berlin the LGBT-Museum is moving to a bigger location, because it got to small.
It’s about time we had something similar in the UK. As far as I know, the nearest we have is the collection at the Museum of London: http://www.museumoflondon.org.uk/Collections-Research/Research/Your-Research/RWWC/Themes/1161/.
Perhaps a ‘Museum of Diversity & Difference’ inlduing LGBT history might be a more interesting project.
