  1. Honestly? Anyone expecting Fox to be anything but scum is delusional. They are moronvision, nothing more, and pandering if the sick little game they play.

Fox Noise is a joke. They are there to cause your displeasure. They are not a serious News Agency. In fact, they have feined themselves as entertainment many times.

      1. Recently they’ve called the famous “God hates Fags” Westboro Baptist Church a “left-wing cult” on their website.
They are nothing more than a Republican propaganda channel.

  2. Incredible. But it’s Fox News, they’re either stupid or completely insensitive. Or both.

    1. Definitely both…

  3. The picture wasn’t just a show of transphobia, it was just factually bad (photo)journalism. Not that Fucx cares about factually correct reports…

    1. I think this is the real issue. They obviously don’t take themselves seriously, why should anyone else?

  4. Seriously though, get a life!

  5. This is as crass and insulting as using an image of Al Jolson to illustrate a story about race. Disgusting.

  6. Fox News – always classy.

  7. Mrs. Doubtfire was a superb film which, as well as succeeding in being extremely comical, dealt sensitively with issues of marital breakup and parenting. But it made no reference to transgenderism and as such it had no specific relevance to trans people. I can’t imagine Robin Williams or anyone else closely involved with the film will have been charmed by this breathtakingly ignorant stereotyping by Fox News, and it would be nice to see them distance themselves from this portrayal too.

  8. bet Julie Birchill is pissing herself !

  9. Mrs Doubtfire doesn’t even have anything to do with transgender issues or people, other than some scenes being a rather crass take on what some trans women have to go through in order to pass as cis female. The movie itself is about a man (who still identifies as a man) going undercover as a woman to get access to his kids. Fox News obviously doesn’t know the difference between simple crossdressing and transgender/gender dysphoria. But then again I didn’t expect them to, as they’re probably one of the most ignorant and inaccurate “news” channels in the world.

  10. Incredibly insulting to Transgender people. I’m sure the photo was used with full knowledge of how insulting it would be. These Republican bigots are just mean and nasty. They hate everybody who’s not white, heterosexual, cis-gender, and Christian.

Cis – is that the latin ‘cis’ meaning ‘on this side’ ? Does that mean they hate people who are not of their own gender ?

    2. de Villiers 17 Jan 2013, 7:56pm

Or perhaps the latin ‘cis’ means that the gender of the person is ‘on the same side’ as their physical appearance – the literal opposite of the latin ‘trans’ for trans-gender.

An example of where trans- would nevertheless be cis natura leges.
