Rosie O’Donnell and her wife Michelle celebrate birth of baby girl

Comedian Rosie O’Donnell has announced that she and her wife Michelle Rounds are celebrating the birth of a baby girl Dakota.

“We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our daughter Dakota,” O’Donnell posted on Instagram.

The baby weighed in at 5 lbs, 5 oz and both the mothers and the baby are “healthy and happy” a spokesperson for the star has said.

O’Donnell’s has four children with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.

Last year, O’Donnell said that her wife was trying to conceive.

In August of last year, O’Donnell suffered a heart attack after she helped a large woman out of a car. She revealed the news in a poem.
