  1. Mocking christianity? What? With all its talking animals and women turned to salt and rib-women? Surely not? Why on earth would anyone do that….

He didn’t, of course, but christians do love their would-be matyrdom. And, in terms of repeating the “gay agenda” nonsense, they do love to lie through their phoney-pious teeth.

Is it any actual wonder that people like me have such utter abject contempt?

    1. Why is this Tebow guy pushing his Christian agenda?
He is making a mockery of everyone else that is not a Christian.

      1. christians now own face paint? Since when? They really know how to embarrass themselves.

    2. Joseph oz 9 Jan 2013, 3:54am

Ah… christians, one doesn’t need to mock them…
      They do it to themselves!

Another case of christians seeing something that isn’t really there…
but then again, they’ve been doing that for almost 2000 years!

  2. I don’t think I’m a complete fool but I fail utterly to comprehend in what possible way that image could be ‘mocking Christianity.’

Indeed, I would say that a man who professionally plays with balls printing verses from the bible in eye paint on his face is closer to mockery.

    1. Very much agree.

Got to wonder what they are saying about their own faith when they thank their deity of choice for helping them do something pointless (throw a ball correctly) while somehow overlooking the starvation and suffering of others. The kind of ego required to do that is genuinely staggering. I mean, Tebow clearly thinks that his god is more interested in completed passes than a child dying in an African village…

Indeed, you would think that treated god like Santa, with a wish list of things you want it to do for you, would be an act of mockery in and of itself.

I think Christianity needs no assistance from anyone in the mocking department.

Its doing an exceedingly good job itself.

    1. Hear! Hear!… Well said! Its sort of comical that christians would accuse others of “mockery” when that is all they do to those who differ from them. hahahahahaha!

  4. If it is good enough for Tim Tebow promote biblical readings on his face, it is good enough for CBS to promote their coverage of the game.

  5. Jock S. Trap 8 Jan 2013, 2:13pm

“‘They’re pushing a gay agenda by using him, and they’re mocking Christians at the same time.’””

    Er… Oh grow up!!

The poor little me, hard done by attitude they display is quite frankly… pathetic!

    1. David Myers 9 Jan 2013, 9:18am

And is growing increasingly tedious and pathetic.

  6. douglas in canada 8 Jan 2013, 2:18pm

Haha, yes, if the christians actually took the time to read what their book says, they’d realize that THEY are the ones mocking its teachings.

But their leaders have so brainwashed them – it will take a while to turn that ark around.

  7. John-Paul 8 Jan 2013, 2:33pm

    All with the “agenda”.
Ok I’m getting peed off now, I’m gay, so why haven’t I been told about the agenda!!!
    I want in!!
Could someone send me a copy?

    1. You’ll find it in the homosexual lobby ;)

      1. Thank you, Iris, made me literally laugh out loud!

    2. Liam the God 8 Jan 2013, 4:13pm

“Gay Agenda: Wake up, shower, have breakfast, go to work, have lunch, return to work, finish work, go shopping, cook evening meal, feet cats, do washing up, brush teeth, go to bed”. Yeah, clearly a danger to society…..

      1. Thank you. These phobes make me so tired sometimes.

      2. My cat would scratch me to bits if I tried to feet it!!!! LOL. :D

        1. Liam the God 9 Jan 2013, 12:23pm

Yes, that SHOULD have said “Feed”. I blame UKIP ;)

  8. Seems like Tebow, with bible verses in his eye makeup, is the one pushing an agenda. Plenty of us can put on eye makeup without any agenda whatsoever. But my agenda is so deep, dark, and, most importantly, secret that even I don’t know what it is.

  9. Talk about self-centred! Not everything is about you, Christians!

Unbelievable that they can take this light-hearted ad so seriously.

  10. Christianity mocks itself. Christians do not follow the teachings of Christ, when He taught against judging one another, and when He said the greatest of all is Love. Contempt was never a teaching of Christ. The Christian Church has become the Anti-Christ.

  11. Since 1967 north America has had a love affair with the Superbowl.

For 46 years, north Americans have partied, many thousands wearing eye black! indulged in drinking, gambling, heck even fighting about the potential outcome! Never in all the years since its inception has the Super Bowl had any Christian reference or connotation.

Despite the conduct of many of they party revelers… even people of faith tune in and watch the game would defend all it entails conduct that could parallel Sodom and Gomorrah!

But let a gay man asked to promote it wear eye black with the date of the game visible… and he has gay agenda and mocks them! despite all the “sins” committed that day to which they choose to be blind?

I can’t wait for this years Superbowl concert wardrobe malfunction… wonder how they will interpret that?

    1. Liam the God 9 Jan 2013, 12:27pm

They complain about the ads, they complain about Janet Jackson’s tit, they complain about EVERYTHING that spoils their enjoyment of watching a bunch of men try and cripple each other! If they could SPELL “Irony” it’d be a start!

  12. Liam the God 8 Jan 2013, 3:02pm

Tim Tebow is a pious little turd that thinks he’s “Special” because he survived gestation (there were complications and his mother refused an abortion. She’s now a virulent ANTI-ABORTIONIST!). Also the NFL has rules that you can’t write ANYTHING on the eye-black, and the NCAA changed the rules just after Tebow left for the NFL.
Basically they’re taking the piss out of TEBOW! It seems that for a lot of Yanks he’s replaced Jesus as the focus of their prayers.

  13. more and more these superstitious , backward idiots are crying out in protest – me thinks they ‘doth protest too much’ – anyone would think their faith was built on a myth or even a lie – oh wait…. it is.

Neil Patrick Harris is a fine human being and a great comic actor – leave him alone and go and learn the meaning of the word Christian, you bigoted moron!

  14. Any illusion, especailly religious ones, requires a fortified mind and an agressive offence to be maintained. Otherwise, even the smallest breeze of reality can destroy them.

  15. Just what is so superb about this owl anyway? Does it glow in the dark?

    1. It poops rainbows as it flies over a stadium full of cheering people, spreading the gay agenda, from what I can gather. It seems Neil Patrick Harris controls it, and is therefore Satan?

  16. To many in the US this lad is seen as pushing a gay agenda (whatever that is – perhaps they refer to equality under the law – simply because he is gay and happy. For many there this is pushing what they think is a gay agenda. They still assume we should be dancing, singing and committing suicide beacuse of the tragic lives we all live. Screw America!

  17. Richard the Big Bunny 8 Jan 2013, 7:03pm

Oh, they’re offended? I’m offended that Tebow thinks his god helps him make fucking touchdowns (or whatever the hell he does) while his god lets 18,000 children die of starvation & malnutrition EVERY DAY.

  18. Richard the Big Bunny 8 Jan 2013, 7:07pm

Oh, they’re offended? I’m offended that Tebow thinks his god helps him make feckin’ touchdowns (or whatever the hell he does) while his god lets 18,000 children die of starvation & malnutrition EVERY DAY.

    1. isn’t the material the ball made from pig/cow skin or some other ‘dirty’ animal it is a sin to touch?

  19. Mocking Christianity??? Bring it on!!! time to turn the tables on the scourge of this planet

  20. For goodnesssake, when I saw the headline I thought he had been burning bibles or something, How is that possibly ‘mocking christianity’. As for his gay agenda, did he do the ad in a pink tutu? If not, he’s just an actor doing his thing. They clearly object to him because he is gay. In other words he offends them simply by living!

  21. OMG they have finally went from scraping the bottom of their barrel of hatred to picking it apart to see if anything got between the cracks. why wont these idiots just give up and get on with their pathetic little lives and let us get on with ours.

    1. David Myers 9 Jan 2013, 9:26am

Because they are right-wing fundamentalist christian fascist theocrats who, just like fundamentalist muslim fascist theocrats, want to impose their religious beliefs on everyone else – on pain of death. Enough already. Fascism is fascism regardless of its particular strain (stain) of religious dogmatism.

    2. Time to teach the religious dictators a little humility, just as certain English Kings had to be taught that Parliament, not they, rule in the name of the People, so we need to ensure our elected representatives are the only ones telling us what to do.
      That includes the Lords Spiritual.

Sorry, had an attack of the Cromwells. His downfall was his religious (Puritan) mania.

  22. So let me get this right. Religion has decided it can have carte blanche to say what it likes about gay people but it objects when gay people answer back? This is absolute proof that religious organisations must NOT be given special privildges – like opt-out clauses from sex discrimination, employment rights, etc. ‘Faith’ is a matter of choice. No-one is born religious. You ‘choose’ to believe or not. No-one chooses to be gay – especially while ‘loving christians’ are there to constantly bully us. It’s time all countries enact complete separation between religion and state. That way, the religious can have their beliefs and I can have my civil rights.

  23. This is only blatant homophobia. The ONLY reason the “christians” said anything at all was because they know N.P.H. is Gay. NOTHING he did in this ad mentioned anything about his being Gay at all! There is no “Gay agenda” but THERE IS a “christian agenda” and that is basically to control other people using hate and fear tactics!

  24. Harris was accused of mocking Christianity and pushing a gay agenda but apparently denied it.
    Shame (denying it).
