  1. His apology sounds sincere enough to me. Obama is a great supporter of GLBT rights and has, I’m sure, grilled him on the subject.

      You realize he only apologized after he found out he might become secretary of defense.

  2. Going forward it’ll be an inevitability that people primed for these sorts of roles would have made comments that now would be political suicide. Just be thankful that this has moved on and that the apologies are sincere. Tolerance that comes from reform of your own personal views is just as valid as tolerance that is inherent within. I say best of luck to him. Although i don’t really have much of a clue who he is or what exactly it is he’ll be doing…*blushes*

  3. I agree. What is amazing is that the Log Cabin Republicans are opposing him because of his anti-gay comments made 15 years ago–and yet they supported Romney!
