    1. Actually, many LGBT like to hear what’s going on across the globe.
The BBC, as biased as they often are, are a British based news service, but report on news events around the world. As does Pink News on GLBT issues.

Actually, I am overjoyed every time a religious person in any kind of position of any authority whatsoever makes a complete and utter tit of themselves, and enjoy these stories both for comedy value and for the delightful sound of another nail being driven into the coffin of organised religion.

The pattern is clear – Christianity gets “under the skin” of PinkNews contributors. They cannot ignore it.

  4. I’m not sure what the point of military chaplins is. They don’t provide a personal banker or florist; why chaplins? But if they have to have them, then at least the should be able to minister to everyone. I assume that this moron is now unemployed.

    1. Oh wouldn’t it be lovely if every regiment had their own florist. That made me laugh. Love it.

He was tossed out for wearing his uniform at a political event, which is against regs. Once, he might have gotten away with it, but he was apparently a repeat offender.

      He’s also a certifiable loon.

  5. The thing is that we don’t really know, I means the real biblical searchers don’t really know what in Roman 1 it is really about.

This guy, a pastor as I understand, used as many of his colleagues his own interpretation and prefer using the bible for hatred instead that for love. That’s his choice… a very sad one in my opinion.

    1. I was always taught (by a vicar at school) that it was about temple worship and it was that that Paul was criticising. Part of that ‘pagan’ worship was ritulaistic sex between people of the same sex – usually by straight people.

Fundies always mistranslate this bit. It’s not “against Nature”, it’s “against their own nature” – ie straight people having gay relationships.

Paul wanted people to get away from all that ‘pagan’ worship and its rituals.

  6. I think he’s confused.
He assumes that just because he’s hearing voices in his head, those who support things he opposes also hear voices in their heads too. Though these people are hearing their voice from another invisible friend, and this invisible friend is a naughty invisible friend because he support equality.

People like this should be examined for mental health issues. He’s clearly not sane.

    Yay – thankyou Hellboy!!!
But seriously Rev Klingenschmitt is getting his knickers in a twist over nothing.
Gingrich’s is hardly a ringing endorsement, more the grudging acceptance of a guy who knows he’s lost the argument.
Bringing demons into it just makes the rev sound demented.
I bet he’d soil himself if someone sent him a Rubic’s cube sprayed gold and told him it was from the cenobytes.

  11. I can assume he is talking about Romans 1:27, however, he is using a version of the Bible that is edited for what he wants to read. Seems here is another person that is ignoring the part (I believe it is in Revelations) about not changing the original words.

A presidential candidate asked for advice, but didn’t follow it when he got it. Big deal. Clingy-sh1t is not god, except in his own mind.

Pouting now in a public broadcast – it only makes him look petty.

And that style of biblical explanation is starting to get so tiring. People reading that book as if it’s all code, only explainable by “the few”. It looks more and more idiotic each time I encounter it.

Funny how these daffy Christians are so opinionated on homosexuality, yet they can’t even pronounce the word. It’s not ‘hoe-moe’ sexual, it’s ‘hoh-muh’ sexual. Homo (hoe-moe) is Latin for man, ie. Homo Sapiens, wise man. Homos (hoh-moss) is Greek for ‘same’ ie. homophone, same sound.

  18. Hahaha! “It’s not like Newt is personally engaging in homosexual activity, but the Bible condemns him now because he takes pleasure in those that do that sort of thing”. WHY are these people so selective in their use of this old book to justify their own bigotry? The bible chides all sorts of behaviours but you never hear these old frats going on about people wearing clothes of a polyester/cotton mix. Just ignore these weirdos. Eventually, they’ll go away.
