I’m not entirely convinced that this is really necessary on this website.

I’d hardly call it ‘gay news’ as it really has nothing that is important to the fight for equality, health, or gay culture.

    1. If it doesn’t interest you, don’t read it.

    2. A (possibly homosexual) murderer who slashed someone’s throat and then strangled another person escapes and is not found for 12 hours, during which time he was a risk to patrons of the mentioned LGBT establishment… how is that not LGBT news?

‘Gay news’ doesnt always have to involve equality. health and gay culture….its good to read stories that has a gay theme like this one….and if it was someone in the pub who phoned the police surely that is a positive thing?

Yes, but PN is renowned for trying to claw in the most tenuous of connections in order to make a headline.

In this case I think that fits the bill.

        1. On the subject of The Bill, I was expecting the report to say if any of them were lesbian or gay.

I wish people would stop telling this website in the comments what is news and what is not news. Stop your subscription and get a refund if you’re not happy.

If a dangerous escaped prisoner is found in a gay bar, that’s news.

  3. That evening could have had a very different ending if those pub-goers had not spotted the tattoos. Phew!

You’re trying to hide, you have tattoos, and you go to a gay bar. Mistake. No better place to get your tattoos noticed surely.

      Post a reply →
      1. Yes especially when one of them is a topless woman.

Is it gay news that a not-gay someone is FOUND DRINKING IN A GAY BAR?

    I probably would

  6. I can’t help thinking that just because he was in a gay bar doesn’t necessarily mean he’s there to kill gays. Maybe seeing as he was married he thought it would be the last place anyone would look for him?

Penny Arcade is a woman, not a drag queen! She is famous enough that this mistake shouldn’t have been made!

    Post a reply →
    1. Dromio, we need to talk about the meaning of the word “famous”.

  8. ” went on the run after escaping from a secure psychiatric hospital” Does anyone else see the irony of that statement? Glad the violent guy is locked back up and maybe they will find the way he got out and fix it.

Drag bar patrons aid capture of dangerous escaped homicidal lunatic. Sure sounds like gay new to me ;-)

Shoddy reporting- Penny Arcade is a well known woman and therefore this was not a drag show.

Pretty dumb really. If you are on the run and have distinctive tattoos it would be unwise to wear a sleeveless top! Thankfully that man has now been returned to a place where he cannot be a danger to the public.
