Some so-called christians must be really bored…got to fake something to complain about…so it’s easy to see what their whole purpose in life is…”just to f****ng complain”.

  2. Rather like the homosexual lobby who think everything said by a bishop or a pope is about them and is ‘homophobic’ or ‘bigoted’, from war in Syria to criticising a government for plans to distort the meaning of marriage ……..

    1. The Infamous Culex 26 Dec 2012, 2:29pm

Do you mean you do not want to marry your gerbil?

    2. Hello Ray. Can you explain the reference to the war in Syria, please? Evidence and stuff. We’ll wait.

    3. Robert in S. Kensington 26 Dec 2012, 2:40pm

Ex-gay therapy clearly didn’t work for you did it? Why do you keep coming here? It’s not the sort of thing a straight person would be interested in. You know, there’s a saying about those who protest too much. Now run along to your dark closet and stay there.

    4. FreeThoughtStorm 26 Dec 2012, 3:26pm

Yes, let’s turn this around and make it about gay people. That’s safe, eh?

Last time I checked it wasn’t gay people trying to censor free speech or create laws that take away rights.

Silly Christians think they are the only people who deserve rights. No wonder your faith is dying.

    5. Ray, you have come to the right place. We are here for you when you are ready to come out. We won’t hold what you have said against you, we understand.

Have courage! Tell us all about it.

    6. Do you mean the several meanings that the Bible gives to marriage?
By the way, are you part of the “christian” lobby which thinks all “evil” comes from homosexuals? Maybe you want to call your psichyatrist.

    7. I’ll take no lectures from a group that actively concealed and protected child abusers in its “priesthood”. Hate mongering is bigotry. To deny it is moronic.

    8. That There Other David (in Sitges :-)) 31 Dec 2012, 11:06am

Ray, the Catholic Bishops, Cardinals and the Head Ratz Himself are obsessed with us. They can’t even offer a message of peace at Christmas without trying to demonise us in some way.

Ask yourself who is actually beginning these constant conversations. It’s not the lobbyists for equality, it’s the charlatans in their palaces.

  3. The Infamous Culex 26 Dec 2012, 2:27pm

If they feign such serious butt-hurt over a film that does not exist and which will probably never exist, might the protesters themselves be gay?

On the other hand, the reason the film will probably never be made is that it would seem to have limited commercial appeal. Now, one way to make something a rip-roaring success is to try to ban it…

  4. I will pre-order the Blu-ray. Anything that upsets religious nuts is ok by me. Christians are certainly giving Muslims a run for their money with blasphemy hysteria.

    1. In fairness to them, the christians have the sense to get out the way of the bomb before it goes off

      1. yeah but this is just diving to the floor needlessly and looking like a complete and utter idiot in the process.

  5. Saying that the film doesn’t exist won’t stop these fools; believing in things which don’t exist is a description of religion itself!

  6. Robert in S. Kensington 26 Dec 2012, 2:45pm

Proof enough just how delusional religious nutters are. Protesting about something that doesn’t even exist? That has to be a first! Laughing my arse off! They’re all mentally disordered. Notice, the British Board of Film Classification only says ‘scores’ of complaints? What’s that, 20, 40, 60 or 80? Why wouldn’t it say hundreds, hundreds of thousands even? Pathetic!

    1. The Infamous Culex 26 Dec 2012, 3:13pm

I understand that many of the National Viewers and Listeners Association have either died of late or discontinued their membership as they went completely senile.

      1. I think being senile was a pre-requisite to being a member!

  7. The Infamous Culex 26 Dec 2012, 3:08pm

The complaints are an obvious publicity stunt to make a boring gay drama into am overnight success by trying – unsuccessfully – to get it banned.

    1. Joseph oz 6 Jan 2013, 6:50am

”The complaints are an obvious publicity stunt to make a boring gay drama into am overnight success by trying – unsuccessfully – to get it banned”.

It has nothing to do with getting anything banned to turn this play into an overnight success…!
The point of the article is… that these christians, without doing any further research wanted to
have a movie, that doesn’t exist banned! A quick look on the net would have done the trick. It just
shows how quickly these christians judge things, without finding the true facts!

  8. Christians believe in the non existent, so no surprises from their complaints about a film not even made.

  9. There are a number of things that exist only in the minds of Christians that doesn’t exist in the real world.

  10. That Jesus a$$hole is a fictional character.

I’d like to see some Jesus-Mohammed porn.

    Would be hot.

  11. Firstly, the most blasphemous behavior on the planet is using God and/or Jesus as a backdrop for personal beliefs and brainwashing “followers” at the same time.

Secondly, Gays & Lesbians are the chosen people. We represent every possible race, religion, social, economic, and moral background that has ever existed.

Thirdly, I love this publication. It’s fascinating to read about GLBT-related issues and perspectives in the U.K and I truly appreciate the comments and education, whether I agree or not. Thanks!

    1. “Gays & Lesbians are the chosen people”

Um – no we are not.

There is no such thing as a chosen people – that’s a scheme thought up by religious cults to feel superior to others.

Being gay or lesbian or bi is no better or worse than being straight

      1. Could be like the Jewish joke I heard once where the rabbi asks God to choose somebody else for once because they’re fed up of the misery being chosen brings them.

      2. I chose. My choice has nothing to do with your religion or beliefs.. Stop interpreting.

        Um…yes we are.

        1. Curtis suddenly remembers where he put his sandwich, and upon finding it again, is happy he is no longer one sandwich short. Bless.

  12. 6 complaints last year and two this. Why are these minuscule figures even being released, let alone reported & discussed? It would appear that the vast majority of people, Christian or otherwise, are not bothering the BBFC about this non-existent film.

    1. I suspect someone in the office was bored and thought it funny and newsworthy.

  13. Dave North 26 Dec 2012, 6:36pm

I got as far as the headline

    “UK: Christians complain about”

and I thought whats the point of reading further.

You could end that sentence with a million possibilities given their whining self righteous nature.

    1. John Jones 27 Dec 2012, 8:02am

Well maybe you should have bothered as the story seems to disprove the headline. ‘UK Christians’ seems to suggest millions of people complained, or that there was a mass campaign by churches. Whereas, in fact, we find that 8 people complained over a period of 2 years, and that we don’t know who these people were, let alone their religious affiliation. They may even have been atheists being playful? Ever heard of epistemology?

      1. Dave North 27 Dec 2012, 2:56pm

        Indeed I do.

And the following explains it well.

        The First Law of Philosophy:

For every philosopher, there exists an equal and opposite philosopher.

        The Second Law of Philosophy:

        They’re both wrong.

“In 1976, Mary Whitehouse, founder of the National Viewers and Listeners Association, (NVLA) began a lawsuit after she read the poem entitled The Love That Dares To Speak Its Name by James Kirkup, published in the defunct publication Gay News.”

I noticed this at the bottom of the article! Interesting to note that Mary Whitehouse read Gay News!

    1. Yes she led the way. Lets watch or read something so that we can be offended and complain!

      1. Joseph oz 6 Jan 2013, 6:54am

        Everything offended Mary Whitehouse…!
Perhaps she would have made a good muslim?

  15. Mr Lapper said: “…it was a bit of an internet hoax several years ago” – glad these followers are as relevant as their iron-age belief-system; but then, psychologically, they really will buy anything. Further, I’d like to complain that my interstellar warp drive just hasn’t been invented yet. Where can I get my money back?

    1. Interstellar warp drive was invented decades ago, but the Vatican bought the Patent and hushed it up, because the Bible doesn’t mention other world lifeforms, and so they didn’t want us to discover them.
      Imagine this:
Alien: “We come in peace !”
RCC: “Your not human, and you have 3 sexs, so God hates you, so DIE !”
Alien: “But we created humans in a laboratory, and populated earth with them !”
RCC: “The Pope says ‘NO’, and he’s always right !”

      1. Random hypothetical tangent, I wonder if the Pope’s views on extra terrestrial life would be covered by the Dogma of infallibility.

  16. Ritchard Mckie 26 Dec 2012, 11:31pm

GREAT IDEA FOR A FILM: JESUS AS A GAY MAN.

  17. Sounds to me as though your religious nuts are just as smart as ours.

  18. Hah! Jesus…. Homosexual…. No way!
un married and in his thirties in a time it was unheard of, travels around with other young men, … If that doesn’t scream ‘heterosexual’ to you, I don’t know what will.

    1. I hear he threw fantastic supper parties.

      1. Joseph oz 6 Jan 2013, 6:56am

        Turning water into wine…
        Now that’s a cheap drunk!

  19. John Jones 27 Dec 2012, 7:59am

They received 8 complains in 2 years — complaints that resulted from an internet hoax claiming the film existed.

Who knows who sent in those complains, but they seem hardly worth registering, or reporting.

Seems like over the top journalism to me. This is less than a non-story.

Yet, thousands complain everyday at what they think the Pope — or whoever — said about gays, even though his words, when really studied, are often unattributable — the result of interpretation on the part of over-excited and philosophically illiterate members of the international press.

  20. Religious folk in Britain must have very easy lives if they have to make up grievances in order to have a moan. For one thing, British law certainly affords much more protection to guarantee freedom of religion than it does to guarantee freedom of gender identity expression. It’s illegal to fire someone from work for practising their religion – yet it’s lawful, for instance, to fire an employee for not conforming to a gendered dress code.

    1. They would probably fire Jesus for having long hair and a beard.

  21. Sandy MacDonald 27 Dec 2012, 10:54pm

    1. Many Christians claim a personal relationship with God: the deity literally inspires their thoughts.

    2. God has inspired a bunch of Christians to believe that this film exists.

    3. Therefore God wants this film to exist.

  22. Imagine, a film like this could be block buster and marketed on concentrated pure infamy . It could become a cult classic. I would so love to make this perhaps with a twist on the Saviour bit and a surprise ending making way for an unashamed money making sequel – Enraging Film That isn’t Even Made Yet II

I will have the treatment by next week Friday but only if I get +20 or more.

  23. People who ask for censorship scare me.

  24. …there are a few things which are a bit upsetting about this, 1. Out of all the films and biblical foundings—Christ has never married, 2. He never had a relationship with any female, sexual or otherwise and 3. surrounded himself with other men most of the time? How stupid can society become, there is enough evidence to suggest Christ was and I can clearly believe he was actually homosexual. Why do heterosexuals think they have the right in having a monopoly on the subject? I find this to be so absurd.
