  1. The Pope is also the highest authority figure in the world’s largest coven of child rapists. I’m not going to take moral instruction from him.

And in 2009 He unexcommunicated Bishop Williamson, a holocaust revisionist / denier

Eichmann btw like most of the top uknow-what leadership was catholic.

Maybe the German “Protector OF Pedos Everywhere ” is planning to appoint Williamson as the new chief Inquisitor.

That wasn’t a very well thought-out, planned, or executed protest.
What were they thinking? We’ll just walk right up there bold as butter and hold our signs up, that’ll show ‘em!
Obviously the Pope and the cops thought about what they should do, and what protesters would do if they showed up and they stopped it.
    Embarrassing.

Yet the real embarrassment will be how the Vatican and it’s ‘supporters’ show up themselves to be completely intolerance of humanity!

  3. Hopefully, there will be more protests like this. The evil old lizard won’t get away with his bigotry forever. Catholics should be deeply ashamed.

  4. Can you imagine postcards being taken from religious campaigners at gay pride? They’d be quick to criticise the lab community. Nice to know the Pope is employing so many thugs in this time of austerity!

If they were outside of St. Peters they were in Rome, not Vatican City. These would have been Italian officers.

Watching the video that part of the piazza is definitely in Rome. So it’s not the Pope’s security team taking the placards.

        1. All St Peters Square is Vatican State…you have to be
outside on the road to make it Rome….

This is yet another demonstration of what happens when organised religions have power. They abuse it by employing agents of the state to quell dissent.

  8. Organised religion hand in glove with law enforcement to quell peaceful protest – how’s that fascism working out for you, Ratzinger?

    Absolutely disgraceful!!

Such intolerance… how is that helpful in any decent society? So much for democracy but proof that this religion doesn’t believe in any freedom except of course there own.

  10. Yes, old Ratzi has learned from his predecessors who did a deal with Hitler.

  11. I saw this excellent argument on a thread at The Independent.

You’re religious and straight and you’re getting married at St. Pat’s at 2.30, so why are you pissing all over the wedding scheduled for 4.30? Shouldn’t you be focussing on the joy and love of your own wedding? Why are you so fixated on the fact that the couple getting married at 4.30 are of the same sex?

The reason can only be that your wedding isn’t actually about your love for each other: it’s about you proving to the world that you’re “OK”, that you’re “normal”, that you’re straight. But your wedding ought to be about you and your partner focussing on your love and your life-long commitment to each other.

(Copy and paste it round, folks.)

Whether we like it or not, disrupting a religious service, in this case the Pope leading a recital of the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square is subject to prosecution in most countries, including the UK.

Of course but remember Josef ratzinger (now Pope) used to be a member of Hitler Youth and we all remember what that regime did to homosexual people in WW II.!

  14. Funny how you don’t see the so-called LGBT brownshirts trying to bully their way into a Mosque .Strange how you don’t see them dressed as vile charactertures of Imans or as rabbis (that would be anti-semetic) in their Pride rallies, but you see them dressed as offensive nuns and priests.

“Catholic baiting is the anti-Semitism of the liberals.”

    1. To a large extent Muslims and jews follow the “West’s” lead in changing their social perceptions and morals . For these religons change if it comes at all comes from outside . There are even verses in the Carim Coran that support this view . The Gays lobby the West’s religon because it is the most flexible and open to change ! Once that great Roman edifice begins to crumble in some respect you will see the more liberal Imans and Rabbis claiming that they and their religon had “always” thought likewise . If the gays lobbyed the more “othodox” jews or muslims directly they would get nowhere !
