  1. … and every single time a homophobe in a position of authority (pope, politician, religious fundamentalist) makes an anti-gay remark, it legitimises in the mind of the mindless this sort of reaction. Religion (the main perpetuator of homophobia) has a LOT to answer for …

  2. What an appalling story. Premeditated and shockingly arrogant. Can’t see much wiggle-room for their lawyer. And they all masturbated together before the murder, did they? I’m sure the boys will be very popular in prison.

  3. So, they masturbated together, and only after that killed him? What pathetic closet cases. It’s another proof that gay/bi people who are insecure with their sexuality are the worst enemy of the gays.

An appalling story, my heart goes out to all that knew Lawrence.

I agree with above, until people in positions of power stop deliberately spreading homophobia this sad, tragic case will not be the last.

These bigots can’t grasp that they teach and indeed were taught bigotry and hatred. It’s shameful and they should be seen at criminals and charge with crimes against humanity. Yes that includes the Pope, the regimes like Uganda, Iran etc

“LGBT group Grupo Arco-Iris says 266 people were killed in Brazil last year because of their sexual orientation – confirming Brazil’s position as the place with the most homophobic murders in the world.

International statistics compiled by the Trans Respect Monitoring Project showed that 45% of all transphobic killings took place in Brazil over the past year.”

Good catholic country, Brazil. The pope must be SO proud.

  8. Is it really necessary to place ads for Mobile phones and car stereos within this shocking story of a young man’s murder?

  9. Unbelievable that my comment about using adverts is automatically used once again to promote these products!!!

  10. These “boys” acted with full intention to commit the crime of murder and should be treated just as an adult would in their sentencing. Indecent human beings have no place in society.
