  1. Good. More embarrassment for the bigoted BSA. I wonder how long they are going to keep digging their heels in.

    1. Probably as long as they continue to get publicity from doing it. Like a amall child, bad attention is better than no attention at all.

Then again, silence could be viewed as approval. So either way, they win, in their view

Change might happen sooner rather than later !

The Daily Telegraph reports that the Scouts in the UK are about to drop the ban on atheists becoming full members or leaders.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/9719221/Scouts-welcome-atheists-a-century-after-Baden-Powell-demonised-them.html

In the USA there have been some momentous developments recently such as Barack Obama being re-elected after supporting marriage equality, and the ballot results on marriage equality in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington.

Corporate sponsors such as UPS and Intel are also pulling out.

So it’s hard to see how the Boy Scouts of America will be able to resist for much longer the ‘Wind of Change’ that is now blowing so strongly through the USA.

  6. If all the governments are now calling on countries ( like some recently in Africa) to improve their human rights laws to include protection of GBLT or face no financial support….why the hell are we all not cleaning up the crap and trash in our own backyards? Lets change some laws to prohibit these groups from functioning unless they maturely deal with this !!! Hard to tell the world and try to dictate to foreign entities when we cannot do it at home!

Typical christians, they had him build a tolerance wall before kicking him out.

Jesus would be really impressed with the hypocrisy acted out in his name.

That’s if he ever lived of course.

  9. Yes ANOTHER example of an organisation whose existence is runied by its association with religion. I not the British Scout movement is contemplating a change to the oath of allegiance members are required to swear to god. Too many members are refusing to lie by so swearing. Move with the times. guys. Let it go. Organised religion belongs in history along with slavery amd the burning of witches.
