I am disgusted that this cretin is getting away with this. It gives him carte blanche to do it again whenever he feels like it.

If this was to do with race, the book would have been thrown at him.

This again goes to show how much work needs to be done in tackling homophobia.

    1. he hasn’t “got away with it” – he’s made himself look a stupid arse….yet again!

    2. Nick Griffin is creepy. But the far left get away with far worse things than he did to these gay men. Members of the UAF threw darts into Nick Griffin’s face when he was doing an interview outside Parliament. None of them were prosecuted, and UAF carried on promoting islamic homophobia.

Considering how delighted people are when things like the BNP membership list gets leaked, I think we should at least have some consistency, and protect everyone’s right to privacy and freedom from assault.

Joe am I understanding you correctly? You want some sort of equality with fascist ? or perhaps you are a fascists trying putting forward some clumsy discussion where by you can parade as democrat. What is it ? WTF should people not be delighted when the BNP list was leaked revealing the names of fascist police, teachers and civil servants etc . I think gay people should know as much as they can about these fascist particularly Griffin and principal BNP financial backer, Steve Squires who has recently been prosecuted for selling the band date rape drug, GHB from his sex shops in Soho.

Of course he’s free to go. Have you ever had a really long talk with a police officer and heard his or her REAL political views?

Let off a day after Leverson, let off the Police for selling tit-bits of info to the Press.
A total whitewash of the gay community by Leverson.

    2. yes – know loads of them at various levels within various forces. In general. really decent guys with pretty sound views. Especially sound views on Honosexuality…..comes of them meeting lots of decent gay guys.
that is where Griffin and his like go wrong – they don’t actually meet us.and spout these silly views that make them (and them alone) look pathetic and stupid.

I wouldn’t be so laid back over this, especially now that he’s been formally cleared!

  5. Right? So the precedent that is set here is that anyone can put up someone’s address and suggest a mob go around for a little “justice” and “drama” then? (because those couldn’t at all be perceived as code for something far more sinister by the mouth-breathing knuckle-dragging lack-witted filth of the BNP)

What a sick rancid bloody joke.

You can guarantee that if a “regular” person tweeted the same content, they would have been arrested and charged before you could say BNP. As per usual, cretins like Griffin get away with things!

      1. what bit of “no criminal offenses were identified” is not understood. – surely its worth respecting the position of the two guys involved and remembering that nothing actually happened.
I’d much rateher scarce resources were spent on real homophobia or homophobic violence rather than this which seems to have upset Pink News readers.

The next time he makes another harassing rant, then I suggest we all post exactly the same comment on social media outlets. Give him a dose of his own medicine. He’ll be stupid enought to continue doing it. Bullies only have a run of luck for a limited amount of time, then they fall flat on their faces. He’ll get his comeuppance, eventually.

Once again ‘British Justice’ lets us down again.

Seems this man and people like him can say and do what the hell they like but not if the same think is down via race.

    British Justice System = Hypocritical.

    2. for Hevan’s sake!
Why not, from your position of deep ignorance, insult all the people who work within the Justicesystem trying to do the right thing..
Could you name a justice system that works harder on fairness – particularly for minority groups?
I find Griffin odious, but would prefer the justice system worked hard on crimes where people actually get hurt.,,,not just matter where Pink News readers were offended.
For something to stick in this case the prosection would have had to demonstate the two guys were in fear of some form of attack. Their public statements (and the fact that nothing ever happened) would make this pretty difficult.

      Post a reply →
      1. It would seem pretty clear to me that he meant at least to menace if not indeed to harm. That he failed is only down to the apathy of his troglodite followers. I can’t imagine many of us would not have felt uneasy being on the receiving end of this threat.

There’s no doubt about it, Griffin should have been charged with the S5 of the Public Order Act 1984.

He clearly caused alarm, distress to people, let alone his attempts to harass.

Either one of these elements on its own constitutes an offence under S5 of the Public Order Act and it can be made either verbally, or in writing, or by an act which demonstrates the same.

    As for the victims –

For the offence to be complete, the original victims need not have been either offended, harassed, alarmed or distressed.

All this is needed is for the prosecution to be satisfied that a ‘person of reasonable firmness” would have been offended…etc.

When it come to the BNP, I’d say most people of reasonable firmness would find them at the lower end, insulting, while others will find their actions intimidating.

Griffin should have been charged and the Courts should have decided on his guilt not some gaggle of CPS lawyers and clerks sitting in a back office somewhere.
