Such a deplorable situation in Uganda! My heart goes out to all Ugandans as homophobia affects everyone, especially our LGBT brothers and sisters, who I stand with in solidarity.
Forty years ago this year, Idi Amin expelled ethnic Asians from Uganda.
Now the current regime is trying to make life so intolerable for LGBTs that many will want to leave.
The international community needs to react with similar strength of condemnation. Perhaps the Ugandan government will reconsider.
And if they don’t, I hope that developed countries like the UK will acknowledge their responsibilities to LGBT Ugandans, whose lives are already difficult but whose persecution will become immeasurably worse if this legislation passes.
I find it disturbing that it’s people in mostly these countries, like this who spew such hatred against the LGBT community yet their own governments of superior ‘straight people’ and their ‘straight’ society of men, women and children who let their own citizens starve because of corruption and greed. Often using violence, murder and torture to keep their wealth and positions.
Hardly a shining example of heterosexuality is it?
There could be a Gay holocaust coming in Uganda. I just hope the UK and other civilised countries are doing all they can to stop this bill going through. The AID must stop now.
Just heard on the news that our government is withholding aid to Rwanda where ironically homosexuality is not criminalized. Why cannot they do the same with that disgusting s**t hole of Uganda next door?

Just read in today’s Box Turtle Bulletin that Germany has frozen all financial aid to Uganda.
A major development targetting corruption at the highest level, and also human rights abuse of lgbt persons.
