Glad the Sun has been slammed. I hope it happens to the Daily Mail and Telegraph with all their lies and malicious rhetoric against equal marriage. Target the editors responsible and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

The Mail maybe, and you might not like the Telegraphs stance, but where has it lied?

By falsely accusing him of an sexual assault that just wasn’t true. Accusing someone of something they never did is lying about it.

It was the Sun that accused Walsh.
I am referring to your statement
“I hope it happens to the Daily Mail and Telegraph with all their lies and malicious rhetoric against equal marriage.”

Please state exactly what lies The Daily Telegraph have made regarding equal marriage. I take note that their editorial is firmly against it, but they don’t lower themselves to the same cesspit as the Sun or the Mail by having to make stuff up.

The media is now all squealing like stuck pigs at the possibility it may be externally monitored and governed, but when filth like the Sun cook up sh|t like this, they only have themselves to blame.

With the Leveson report coming out on Friday, I really hope they throw the book at them.

  4. Not enough! These should have been punitive damages because that is the only thing that will stop garbage rags like the Sun from printing this sort of thing. Half a million Euros is a spit in the gutter for the gutter press!

  5. It was a serious allegation and potentially devastating to Louis Walsh’s career so it’s good to see the Sun made to pay out.
I still find Louis Walsh quite an irritating person on telly but it’s easy enough to avoid him.

  6. It’s a good result for Walsh and hopefully (but don’t hold your breath) and lesson for the Sun.

It has to be said though that if Louis Walsh was not in the closet still this probably would not have happened.

Everyone knows that he is gay, and he is regularly seen in gay bars around Dublin.m

Yet for some reason he refuses to confirm the blatantly obvious – that he is gay.

I suspect that the guy who made the false allegation wanted to get some hush money out of Walsh as he knew that closet cases are susceptible to blackmail.

Glad it worked out in the end though.

    1. Like straight people have to publicly confirm they are straight.
