  1. How could you not love Dolly? Songwriter, singer, activist, business woman … She’s the real deal.

    1. Honest, funny and capable of amusing self-deprecation too, and what appears to be a warm heart too. A rare combination.

In France, people do not realise that the songs are gay – as in this way YMCA or other such songs. You can see many straight men dancing to them not realising.

  5. The star also revealed that she once entered a look-alike drag queen contest (of herself) and lost. “They had a bunch of Chers and Dollys that year, so I just over-exaggerated — made my beauty mark bigger, the eyes bigger, the hair bigger, everything,” she said, laughing. “All these beautiful drag queens had worked for weeks and months getting their clothes. So I just got in the line and I just walked across, and they just thought I was some little short gay guy.. but I got the least applause.”

Oh how I’d love to see a video of this! Just too funny! lol

Dolly is wonderful…how could anyone even begin trash like this? They must be a truly sad and hateful person. And obviously someone who’s never had a lifetime friendship.

I remember her saying somethig along the lines of (and I can’t quote, I’m just remembering)…”If it sags, bags or drags, I’m going to have it nipped, tucked or sucked.” How can you NOT like a woman with that sense of humor!!!? Seriously.
