Time for the government leaders to get educated about sexual issues…they appear to be very stupid.

  2. “”India is home to an estimated 2.5 million gay citizens, according to India’s ANI news agency.””

Obviously it’s more than that. That’s barely 0.2% of India’s population.

    1. Just what I was going to say, nearer 100 million would probably be more accurate, or somewhere halfway in between at least.

  3. Maybe it was just my take on it “but” the first sentences of this article make it sound like there were lots of protesters!

“Hundreds of LGBT activists in New Delhi have marched in a Pride parade.”

Yet the rest of the article sounded like Gay pride in New Delhi over the recent 5 years has grown to become an event where people can happily and safely celebrate and enjoy advances made in LGBT freedom and rights.

Expressing the “activist” aspect made it sound like a revolutionary protest, where as the rest of the article described it a peaceful and enjoyable celebration of pride and diversity.

Hopefully being seen as a happy peaceful and ordinary group of citizens who are no different than any one else will go a long way to discredit myths about sexual issues and HIV

  4. I imagine many, many, more and many, many others who are ‘married’ and closeted.
