  1. Obama is so cool, why cant we have a prime minister like him.

  2. Just when I think that our society has become a cesspool of hate and bigotry and that there is no hope for any light to shine in its murky depths, something like this comes along and lifts my spirits. I am once again reminded that there can be hope and light, and that the darkness will eventually lose.

  3. Aww its nice to hear about such a sweet story :)

  4. Good PR, a lucky draw or what ever some may say…a lovely story at it’s core. Love is love.

Perhaps David Cameron can follow this with an announcement that Same-Sex Marriage within the UK, will be enacted by the end of 2013?

  6. What an adorable little girl, and what a marvelous reply from her President – affirming, informal, and yet statesman-like.

  7. Why is this back in the news? Hew replied to her last week or so and it was covered then.

    1. Love stories never get old

Thank God for human beings like Sofia , that’s the new generation of Americans !!!

  10. No matter how old this story is, it certainly is a life-affirming piece which deserves a special place in the history of our Queer History.
The two dads must be so very proud to have a child such as this – and whoever said that everyone needs a Mum and Dad to grow up to be healthy in mind and body? Times change, let’s embrace the best in change and be thankful for it.

  11. I <3 Obama!!

I am just reading this story .. and I found it heartwarming and wonderful
what great parents these men must be
and what a lucky family ..
and I do think President Obama is greatttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  13. How surprising yet again it is a child that is talking sense. She is is proud of her parents and they should be proud of her. Mr Obama should teach Mr Cameron how to be more connected to his voting people like he is to his people.

This is such a warming story, it doesn’t matter how old it is.

I wonder what the response would have been if the same letter was sent to Mr Cameron.
