As predicted the Tories are dismantling our hard won protections. We would hope them to remove ‘unnecessary bureaucracies’ to the citizen’s rights of protest in front of Parliament, but I doubt very much they’ll do so. The despots are afraid of peasants getting too close to see them naked behind their barricade.

  2. Actually the Equality Act is quite straightforward and (contrary to what he seems to think) this isn’t something that the PM gets to say what happens on without changing the law. Cue a load of very expensive judicial reviews.

I do not believe the prime minister on this.
It has often been the case that the British government has been forced into implementing equality measures, rarely does it do so willingly.

“Let me be very clear. I care about making sure that government policy never marginalises or discriminates. I care about making sure we treat people equally.”

So make sure equal marriage is legalised! End of!

    1. Time is getting tight now Robert. I am just beginning to wonder about this. Will it ever see the light of day?

This will open the floodgates of right-wing religious extremists to claim taxpayers funding. At present Equality Impact Assessments stop them from receiving funding because their right-wing extremist polices and if Dave scraps the Assessments nothing will stop them from claiming funding.

I had assurances the LibDems were not going to scrap the Equality Act, I guess they have sold out for Power.
