Frank Ocean dodges questions about sexuality in GQ interview

When asked if he considers himself “bisexual” US singer Frank Ocean refused to be drawn on the subject.

The 25-year-old R&B star did however speak about this year’s decision to reveal to the world about a former same-sex relationship and said he “cried like a fucking baby” the night in which he posted the open letter about it on Tumblr.

The contents of the letter was originally intended to be used in the cover notes of Ocean’s current album ‘Channel Orange’.

Ocean told GQ he had the open letter idea after he Skyped into a Def Jam listening session for his album and noticed one of the journalists was “very harmlessly” writing a piece about how he often uses male pronouns in songs.

Asked if the Tumblr decision meant people could now describe him as bisexual, Ocean responded by saying:

“You can move to the next question. I’ll respectfully say that life is dynamic and comes along with dynamic experiences, and the same sentiment that I have towards genres of music, I have towards a lot of labels and boxes and shit. I’m in this business to be creative—I’ll even diminish it and say to be a content provider.

“One of the pieces of content that I’m for fuck sure not giving is porn videos. I’m not a centerfold. I’m not trying to sell you sex”.
