I was surprised to find the term described as derogatory. I was also surprised to see the claim that “twinks” are “used as sex objects by older gay men”. I would not be particularly surprised to find that the author of the Examiner piece was 1) guessing, and 2) under some kind of pressure to puff up some controversy.
