  2. Seems they are taking an active part in at least attempting to stamp out homophobia.

    His apology does seem genuine and perhaps after he has received the diversity training he will be even more aware of how hurtful word can be.

    Time will tell I guess.

    1. I think community service in a safe house for victims of homophobia and homophobic bullying might be more relevant.

  5. I’m glad he’s getting education and training not just a punishment. Education is key to helping to stop homophobia.

  6. As an aside, I’m not sure of the term ‘gay slur’ – shouldn’t it be ‘anti-gay slur’?

    “family values”, “a leader in the community”, blabla. Just another idiot who had to find out certain kinds of speech are no longer acceptable.
