There is also a petition related to this
    http://www.allout.org/en/actions/invisibleparents

“For thousands of children in the European Union, crossing borders can mean they’re on their own. The reason is simple: when moving between one country to another, their parents are no longer recognised as their real parents – just because they’re the same sex.

Will you sign now and tell the leaders of the European Union that same-sex families are families, regardless of the country they’re in?”

This also makes a compelling reason to mandate equal marriage across the EU. Problem solved.

    1. Only if the parent(s) are married. Having a child and being married are not the same issue.

  3. Beautiful! Brought several tears to my eyes. Well done! It’ll certainly challenge people.

  4. Beautifully done, shame about lack of racial diversity. Perhaps a lesbian couple could be used in the next video (if there is one)?

Should have read yours first Tommack then I would have duly agreed with you! lol But yeh, where is the diversity?!

      1. The diverse nation already have legal parenting; this has to appeal to the rest.

Beautiful video! Very touching. But once again it’s only shows one set of gay parents! Why isn;t there one showing gay/lesbian parents? It’s not the first of this kind I’ve seen and it’s seems to be only gay men that are represented! You need to represent both. Not favour just one all the same!

    1. When you mix lesbian and gay parents the viewers think they are straight couples.

      1. Not if you make it obvious.

I am a midwife and with the increasing number of same sex couples chosing to have children by assisted fertility methods, I am undertaking a project as part of a masters to determine if there are any discriminatory practices within maternity services, or if same sex couples have particular needs. If you wish to share your experiences in confidence, please email me to mfitzpatrick04@qub.ac.uk
