And gay republicans claim they are changing their party from within? Really? Yet, they have endorsed this moron and will vote for him. They say he’s better for the American economy. Well, when he left Massachusetts as the former governor, his state was ranked number 47 out of 50 states in job creation. Some job creator!

    1. That There Other David 28 Oct 2012, 12:32am

I’d like to see some evidence that Romney’s Wall St. Shark experience gives him ANY idea how to run the US economy!! Everyone seems to be accepting that just because he’s rich that he will know what he’s doing, but the way he’s got rich has been repeatedly buying struggling companies, then jettisoning parts of them that don’t make a profit in order to concentrate on a core that does. What part of the USA is he planning on jettisoning in order to get it back in the black? The strategy just doesn’t transfer into the role of US President!!

In the meantime, his social policy positions stink and his foreign policy strategy changes from day to day. He’s an absolutely TERRIBLE candidate, yet half the US is seriously going to vote for him? He makes even our own politicians look great.

      1. David Myers 30 Oct 2012, 12:19am

One of the main parts of companies he “jettisoned” was the workers’ pensions – that’s the same plan with the US government – jettison the benefits for ordinary citizens in order to lower the taxes for the 1% (the US Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid programs – as well as Obamacare being totally repealed).

    2. Reminds me of the Leonard Cohen lyric “They sentenced me to 20 years of boredom – for trying to change the system from within…”
They’d have about as much leverage to define policy as a black member of the KKK.
And asset stripping isn’t the same thing as “turning a company around”!

  2. Garry Cassell 27 Oct 2012, 2:48pm

This moron should have been aborted ,,,would have saved the USA much hatred…jail his mother!!!!

  3. Cardinal Capone 27 Oct 2012, 3:24pm

Romney has wiped out Obama’s 16 point lead amongst women voters. I put this down to his “built” and cosmetic appearance in the debates where he was standing next to the more intellectual Obama. They are looking at appearance rather than Romney’s anti-women policies.

Some way has to be found to counter this.

    1. That’s scary!

      1. Very scary and shallow, can’t they hear what he says!!!!!!

  4. A “right” to a mother and a father? What precisely does that mean, Mr. Romney? If your mother or father is killed then will the state provide another one free of charge? Can single parents force someone else of the opposite gender to adopt their children by the power of statute?

Also, there are plenty of studies to show that same-sex parenting is just as effective if not more so than mixed-sex parenting. That statement of yours was actually a lie. Then again most of your statements come under this category, so I am hardly surprised.

  5. Brandt Hardin 27 Oct 2012, 3:59pm

Obama is the first President brave enough to support the GLBT community’s access to basic civil rights. The church and conservative hands paint a Blackface on him for defending this human-rights issue. Religious doctrine and the bigotry which goes along with it have NO place in politics. Read about how Obama and simple logic are being bamboozled at

  6. Pardon us for breathing, Mr Romney! Do excuse me while I crawl away and hide from all you fantastic normal people! What an idiot he is!

“It may affect the development of children and thereby future society as a whole.’’

No, only in your prejudice-coloured dreams, Mitt. Children are being affected every day but not by having parents of the same gender. Their problem is having parents (or more usually just the one parent) who don’t give a sh*t about them and bring them up in a damaging way.

I’ve taught many children like that and not ONE of them has been the child of gay parents. LGBT parents have to think more before they conceive and are more likely to take the decision to have a child more seriously.

Children need GOOD parents – it’s that simple.

    1. Just like anti equality NOM, and our own anti-equality equivalent C4M here in UK, Mitt Romney’s whole campaign has relied on swamping the media with massive repetition of lies, smears and misinformation.

Facts don’t matter to people who are propping up each others bigoted religious, make believe, parallel dream worlds (or rather nightmare worlds) In the short term lying seems to work for them as the facts are not on their side.

      1. David Myers 30 Oct 2012, 12:22am

The new facism – right-wing christian fundamentalist tea partier theocrats in league with the 1% corporate oligrachy of the rich.

    2. “It may affect the development of children and thereby future society as a whole.’’

I hope it will!!! Maybe then gay teens in the US will stop killing themselves in such high numbers.

  7. ...Paddyswurds 27 Oct 2012, 4:27pm

It will be an unmitigated disaster if this ignorant moron is elected President of the USA; indeed for the whole world. The chance of nuclear war with Iran or North korea will become a distinct possibility and the entire planet will suffer. The very least harm this ignoramus will cause will be to the detriment of the ecology of the planet when he approves oil drilling in hugely sensitive areas like Alaska and Antarctica and steps up the use of American coal, probably the dirtiest coal ever mined and then some. Abortion will be denied to all American women, and GLB rights will be set back decades. The US may even become a theocracy like Iran except way more dangerous. Mitt Romney must not win the election or we all will suffer.

  8. He’s anti women believing unequal pay is right, that rape is sent from God (back street abortions will come back if he wins in a couple of weeks), he’s a compulsive liar; he doesn’t even know where Iran is; he is extremely wealthy by sending jobs overseas and corporate raiding; he flip flops on policy from one day to the next; he insulted every country he stopped in on his recent tour and he is an anti gay bigot.
Yes, it’s the 21st century and Mormon nut job Mitt Romney is neck and neck with Obama at present. Can you imagine what this mentally backward person will do if he gets in power? It’s, really, really scary for the whole world.

    1. And you can bet your bottom ‘Book of Mormon’ that the Mormon infiltrated states of Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming will be out in force voting for this moronic Mormon bigot, whose delusional mind believes that ‘Mormons are the only chosen people to inhabit the kingdom of God’ and what his church says ‘has to be followed to the T’ has been set in stone from birth – IF he wins the USA government will have a head office on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. ugh!

      1. David Myers 30 Oct 2012, 12:27am

Utah’s largest newspaper endorsed President Obama! Not all citizens of Utah, or even all Mormons are drinkers of the Romney/ tea party/Fox News tea.

  9. Christ, Americans are stupid. I know not all of them are, but enough are to make this evil ignoramus President.

    1. But of course people are different in the UK. Margaret (demoness) Thatcher (for 12 yrs!), JOHN (braindead) MAJOR, Tony (liar) Blair, Gordon (unelected) Brown, then David (got in through a backdoor with Nick FEEBLE Clegg) Cameron. The scary thing is, the whole world looks stupid when you see who people let rule any country.

      1. ...Paddyswurds 27 Oct 2012, 9:22pm

Non of those in the UK you mentioned wear “magic underwear” or were promised a planet of their own when they die. This asshat Romney is a member of a “religion” set up by a crazed writer in 1848 who claimed to have been sent messages on Gold Plates (where are they?) from a non existant deity who lived on a planet called Kolob ( Bolok in reverse) If this moron wins the Mayan prophecy for 2012 may just be correct; it will be the end of life on this planet as we know it. You thought George W. Bush was bad? You ain’t seen nothing yet!

        1. I also think Romney is an idiot. I also think all the leaders I mentioned are idiots. And the people who vote for them are equally as stupid as those who vote for Romney.
But you think Margaret Thatcher (clause 28), John Major (arms dealer), Tony Blair (pope kissing illegal war mongerer), Gordon Brown (who was going to save the world, but couldn’t balance his own back account) and David Cameron (who hasn’t done a thing yet) are all good leaders.
And they are all christians, who also believe some pretty crazy things.

          1. Dave North 28 Oct 2012, 2:41pm

As far as I an concerned the job application to be a leader of a country must have the “RELIGION” “NONE” box ticked.

Its different in the US I suppose, because to state that you are an athiest over there is tantamount to saying that you eat babies and boil puppies.

          2. Perhaps your criticisms of our politicians are fair. Certainly Thatcher was vile but I wouldn’t put any of the others in the same box as Romney. How foolish of you to use Nick Clegg as an example.

    2. And least americans have less fear of their sexuality than 99% of british men do.

      1. I’m sure the ones who downvoted me are those who answered they’re completely heterosexual in the ONS survey.

        1. ...Paddyswurds 27 Oct 2012, 9:28pm

………It is sad that so many Americans are, just like you, illiterate. You comments, grammar and spelling are akin to those of a European four year old child. Didn’t you go to school or did you spend all your time reading your buybul……

          1. Your comments not you comments. Funny considering you are berating someone for their grammar.

      2. Ben Foster 27 Oct 2012, 9:37pm

        Er, what?

      3. “And least americans have less fear of their sexuality than 99% of british men do.”

Made this stat up, did you? How inventive of you.

      4. That There Other David 28 Oct 2012, 12:35am

LOL. Do you think we all live in an Evelyn Waugh novel? :-D

        1. ...Paddyswurds 28 Oct 2012, 12:09pm

      5. You ceem to be insane. So many American men are totally screwed up thanks to their guilt ad fear driven attachement to those pathetic churches that exist all over the place.

    3. You’re aware, aren’t you, that this is from 2008, the same year that we “stupid” Americans elected Obama? You knew that, right?

  10. Some bigots are actually having children, it’s not right.

  11. GingerlyColors 27 Oct 2012, 7:22pm

What about those guys who have a dozen children by half a dozen different women and they all sit at home watching mind rotting tripe on telly all day while getting more money in benefits than what many of us would normally earn in two years? Is that right?

  12. “Hey, I’m a really good-lookin’ white man, with big butch Yankee voice, a real frat type, so I’ve got a right to the Presidency!”

    1. ...Paddyswurds 27 Oct 2012, 11:04pm

“a real frat type,” who along with three of his pals, attacked a gay man at his College and cut his hair off in chunks. your assertion that this ignorant thug is a “really good looking white man” is pathetic Eddy. I’d rather be celibate for the rest of my life, Yeukkk!

      1. Mitt Romney’s looks were okay when he was a young man but he is now and always was an unpleasant and nasty jackass.

  13. What an odious, unpleasant thing to say. Bush almost seems politically correct in comparison.

  14. So now this fool thinks he can dictate who can have children and who can’t? Where’s he getting his policies from, China?

    1. He’s getting ALL of his policies from the profit -er prophet- of the Moron Church, who hears the voice of God in a secret room of the secret SLC temple telling him what is best for the USA and the rest of the western world.

“If we can’t convert everyone, then let’s make it government policy!”

  15. What is wrong with Mitt, or should I say Zitt Romney? There are millions of children in the world who have no family and end up starving to death because the anti-gay Christians are spending millions of dollars to stop gay marriage instead of giving food to these children, tens of thousands of children die every day because they starve to death. If I was one of these children do you think I would care if a couple helped to feed me and keep me alive, straight or gay? Hell no I would choose life like any sane person would. Mitt is a moron.

  16. Mit the nit has lost the election because of his hate. His hate will eventually destroy him. ‘What you sow, so you shall reap’

    1. He’s got some bitching Karma headed his way for sure!

  17. Spanner1960 28 Oct 2012, 8:00am

“The single most important factor is whether the parents are willing to put in the time, the blood, the sweat, and toil to do what it takes to raise children.’’

    He forgot money.
    Never forget the cost.
If you cannot afford children, don’t have them. As simple as that.

    1. Yes. i’ve nothing against gay people becoming parents-in fact, they have done so since the dawn of time, however, they did so with a member of the opposite sex (although this does raise the question that how can a man be gay if he has consensual sex with a woman. Perhaps Kinsey’ sliding scale is right). As it should be. If a gay man wants to raise children, great, just find a willing woman to do it with. There’s a lot of women out there who would be glad to have such an arrangement.

      1. The very fact that somebody can come here and make a reasonable point about gay people can be(and are) fine parents and should be allowed to raise kids WITH an opposite sex parent and get negative points for it only illustrates how selfish some gay people are. THEIR sexual needs come before the child’s -who NEEDS a mother and father.

        1. And the very fact that you still wish to drive your point home that gay parents should go through the motions of a sham marriage with people they aren’t attracted to for the best part of a child’s upringing in order to fit your narrow definition of “parents” illustrates how selfish some straight bigots are.
Tell me, where do single parents fit into this edict of yours?

          1. Your view is typical of the shallow, middle-class view (note: not working-class or upper class) of parenthood that has infected this country; child-rearing is not about romantic love or sexual attraction of the adults, it is about duty and bringing up the next generation with opposite sex parents who give it a view of the two sexes.
Single parents are usually making the best of an opposite sex situation gone wrong-fair enough.
But what gay couples do is deliberately engineer a bad situation which is very different.

          2. Your view is typical of the dogmatic hetrocentric view (note: you don’t know what class I am and class is a distraction anyhow.)
What evidence do you have that child rearing is any worse with same-sex parents, or that you get any say in whether or not they do?
You accuse me of being shallow, but you appear to have the emotional depth of an amoeba, which never procreate for love but just to produce further amoebas for the purposes of rolling them off some biological production line.

          3. Jock S. Trap 29 Oct 2012, 12:08pm

Actually sjr having children SHOULD be about love and giving love. Parents who have children out of ‘duty’ continuously prove they make bad parents.

Children need love, need to know they were born out of love into a loving family…. not for duty!

      2. ...Paddyswurds 28 Oct 2012, 12:25pm

……thousands of kids are born every year all over the world without the use of “hetero sex” The fact that you don’t know that says quite a lot about you. Have you never heard of the turkey baster method by which gay men and lesbians have been begatting children for hundreds of years. We also now have the Health Service method of AI. So your ignorant and homophobic reference to Kinsey is redundant but then I suspect you already knew that and merely wished to make what you imagined would be a swipe at Gay men. How do you think Elton John got his son?
Are you really as ignorant and self hating as you come across, because if you are I do so feel sorry for you and your sad life, trolling a Gay News website….

        1. Kinsey is NOT redundant at all. He studies this subject in depth; sexuality is not, as we are led to believe, a binary, black-and-white issue. If you had any sense at all about this issue you would realise that far from being homophobic, I am saying that the vast majority of us are neither totally heterosexual or homosexual. THAT is as far from homophobic at it gets! I’m saying that we are all slightly gay/heterosexual.
In other words, as it is clear that children do best with opposite sex parents it is pretty easy to just find one person of the opposite sex to have them with -even if attracted 99% time to the same sex, there is always that 1% of the opposite sex that we can be happy with.

          1. Dave North 28 Oct 2012, 2:38pm

“it is clear that children do best with opposite sex parents ”

      3. Robert in S. Kensington 28 Oct 2012, 12:33pm

So what about hetero widows and widowers who are left with young children, sometimes with babies just months old but who never remarry? What about hetero single women who are infertile but who have children via surrogacy and don’t eventually marry?

        1. Deliberately engineering a situation where a child is not brought up by two opposite sex parents is entirely different from an accidental situation where somebody is widowed or left in the situation of being a single parent.
This is pretty easy to understand.
I have absolutely nothing against gay people becoming parents at all; indeed it happens all the time, however, if a gay person wishes to become a parent, I think it best to find somebody of the opposite sex to do so with.
Sexual attraction is not the main thing; it is perfectly possible for a gay man to find a woman that he has deep trust and respect for and vice versa.
The trouble is that people are putting their sexual needs as being the MAIN thing when it clearly should not be in a long-term relationship involving the raising of children.

          1. Dave North 28 Oct 2012, 3:13pm

WOW. You are thick aren’t you….

          2. DAVE NORTH, No you are the thick one to think that your sexual preferences take priority over the wellbeing of children. You want to raise a child, fine, but find a woman to do it with.

      4. Jock S. Trap 29 Oct 2012, 12:04pm

Er I have a 21 year old son sjr… he is my son yet I have Never had sex with a woman…

        bet your head just exploded!

    2. ...Paddyswurds 28 Oct 2012, 12:16pm

…unfortunately that is a concept that escapes most breeders, especially those lower down the social class ladder. After all they won’t have to pay the cost of rearing their clueless brats when you have governments in the UK who spend billions doing it for them, while they doss about off their heads on drugs, alcohol and tobacco….

      1. Their children aren’t “clueless brats” – they’re victims of their parents’ neglect and ignorance too. It’s upsetting to see how some children are so badly raised and how little support they get at home. I’d limit child benefit and stop people like that churning out children as a way of getting more benefits. It’s the children who suffer and it’s not their fault. I find it heartbreaking – and enraging too.

  18. It’s not right but it’s okay
    I’m gonna make it anyway
Pack your bags up and leave

    1. It was a bit of Whitney’s song, meaning Mr Mitt can shove off .

  19. Ignore all the naysayers. All Americans must vote for Romney. I mean, they’re all billionaire outsourcing asset-stripping tax-dodging homophobes who want to outlaw all abortion, aren’t they? Aren’t they?

    1. Where do you get your information….”all Americans must vote for Romney….they’re all billionaires….homophobes….who want to outlaw all abortion.”
I’m retired, living on SS — very average lifestyle. What most scares us most is the pro-Muslim activities of Obama. He has anything but pro-American principles that Romney certainly does. Romney is a business-minded person who understands how to run a nation like a profit-making institution — not running a social, giveaway country with no definite plans to make the USA more independent and not get involved in every other country’s issues, Romney will expand our oil production and forget the Arabs. Romney has stronger principles that an unborn child has rights that have to be defended –not just controlled by mothers who want to discard their baby — with 40 million abortlions in the USA, it shows a disregard for any moral purpose and simply a lustful act without thinking about the consequences — a lazy mentality in most case

      1. You have poor irony detection.
And your politics are Tea-Party Never-Never land.

  20. Mitt Romney is absolutely right!

    1. Fascinating response. So much depth to your analysis.

    2. What about? That the dead can be baptized? That Jesus lives in New Jersey?

    3. Is your full name Mike Hunt by any chance?

  21. Clearly gays having children is infinitely preferable to them being abused at the annual Satanic shindig at Bohemian Grove in California, attended by the rich and powerful including the likes of Romney, quel surprise…

  22. Please Americans, the election day is coming, throw away this man immediately, it’s not even getting funny anymore.

  23. Scott Thornby 29 Oct 2012, 7:50am

I don’t condone violence but I find it very difficult not to think, ‘This man needs a fork through the eye.’

    1. His cosmetician should accidentally give him a shot of botox in the larynx, that’d shut his homophobic gob.

  24. What is not right here is the fact that idiots like him are allowed to gain such a high public office!

    1. David Myers 30 Oct 2012, 12:34am

Thanks to the US Supreme Court’s 5 to 4 decision (Citizen’s United vs the Federal Electral Commission) US elections are up for sale to the highest bidder – any fool willing to do their bidding will do for a corporate puppet! Romney fill’s the bill to a “T”.

  25. So some gays are having children and it’s not right?

What does this vile scumbag propose they do?

    Abortions maybe?

  26. Wow and some bigoted straight people are also having children!! Do we stop you? All I can say is I know who’s children I pitty and feel for and it ain’t anyone from my community you sorry excuse for a human being!

  27. he makes me sick
    like actually appalls me.

  28. Mike stearns 25 Oct 2013, 6:23pm

I’m so glad he lost the election
