  1. Yeah, vote for Myth Robme instead, he’s on the side of the average American….

    Religion-addled dimwits.

The US has such a chronic cognitive dissonance. One the one hand, they put Curiosity on Mars (and it’s amazing, hooked on the Nasa feeds) on the other, idiocracy of magical thinking twits who think the assumed wishes of a desert djinn are meaningful to the modern world.

One of those mindsets is for the betterment of all humanity. The other will drag the US into a quagmire of dogmatic social retardation. That they both exist at the same time is just horrifying.

    1. That There Other David 11 Oct 2012, 1:25pm

Republicans don’t like NASA and want to cut its funding, so should they prevail next month don’t expect the conflicting nature of the US to last for long. Ignorance will win.

If Black Americans are stupid enough to vote for Romoney..then they deserve what they will get from Romoney….a big fat nothing!!!!

    1. I always ask the question, what is the price of a black (human) soul these days and can you get them in a baker’s dozen format. You know people by their actions and those self-hating folks need to spend time in slavery to get a clue of what our ancestors had to endure to obtain freedom. Hand me a whip please…

  3. So- the election of the most powerful man in the world-the president of the United States – has been narrowed down to voting on just one issue- the equal treatment of gay people. Doesn’t matter about anything else- all that matters is just one issue- gays. Pathetic!!

    1. Bobbleobble 11 Oct 2012, 2:13pm

It’s how Bush won his second term in 2004. The Republicans got gay marriage votes onto the ballots in most of the major sqing states in order to energise the evangelical christian voters to come out and vote.

      1. David Myers 12 Oct 2012, 6:25am

Its quite a different time than 2004 now. This time around the gay marriage votes and bigotry against it, just fit in to the bigger message – about how tea party kidnapped republicans want to roll back the clock to the fifties or beyond in terms of human rights, women’s reproductive rights, and racism.

        1. Yeah…the 1850s.

  4. My my my. Firstly, I’m sure God would approve of $1million being used to spread hate by man against fellow man. Hardly treating thy neighbour as you would like to be treated is it?

Also, don’t they realise that if it were up to folk like Romney years ago these AA would still be out in fields working as slaves with no rights themselves.

    1. wouldnt surprise me if in their twisted logic they are keeping to that lil rule, after all they do seem to like playing the victim card alot and many also have a bit of a martyr complex so makes sense they would want people to hate them just so they can continue, although.. crazy logic.. even thinking about it makes my head hurt with the confusion of it

  5. unbelivable, people who know themselfs what discrimination is, want discriminate another group. And for sure if they vote for Romney, they deserve whats coming

  6. Bobbleobble 11 Oct 2012, 1:54pm

Given the amount of money that Obama and Romney are spending $1m is chicken feed. It’ll buy them a couple of adverts in each of those states which will be lost amongst the hundreds of others. They’re kidding themselves if they think they’ll manage to reach 2.5% of the black vote never mind 25%. Obama, like every other Democrat, will get 90% plus of the black vote.

  7. Presumably they are quite happy to be ruled by the Republican party then. Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.

  8. I will remind folks that Coretta Scott King, Dr King’s late widow (who knew him considerably better than some bloody teenage niece) said that he would absolutely have been on the side of equality and justice for all.

Alveda King hitches her hate-wagon to whoever will pay the bills.

    1. I can’t quite get over the news that his neice is involved in this….. There’s a fantastic quote from Coretta that goes:
‘Homophobia is like racism and anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry in that it seeks to dehumanize a large group of people, to deny their humanity, their dignity and personhood.’
I wonder if her neice has ever read this?

      1. I sure she has. But hatred of gay people is her business model. She has ever reason to oppose federal law and social change because she makes buck being a hate-peddling swine.

  9. Let’s be clear. Civil Rights clearly means that ‘I want everything my way and to dictate to you what is good for you and what you should have. If there is a disagreement, then I am right’. It’s backed up by Ann Widdicome the other day who said ‘anyone who disagrees with you is a bigot’. I’ll go along with that Ann, you bigot.

  10. ‘God Said’ indeed – what was it God is purported to have said that justified enslavement of black people until the mid-19c?

  11. It is a sad state of affairs when so called faith leaders want to waste money on this campaign rather than putting the money where it is most needed! They are such short sighted fools and they yet they will be complaining if Romney gets in.

    1. I will be sure to email them weekly to remind them that it’s their fault so stop complaining.

  12. And let’s not forget – Romney’s joke of a “church” thought that African American people were not proper humans until they had a change of heart in 1978. Romney would have been in his 30s them, I believe already in the church hierarchy and had spent his formative years doing “missionary” work in favour of a manifestly racist and discriminatory church.

    1. There are left-leaning gay-friendly Mormons who read PinkNews, and they can be from practically any country. There are active Mormon grassroots gay rights groups in Utah alone with thousands of members, especially Affirmation. And there are Mormons as old as their 30s who were born after the church racially integrated. Try not to paint with such a big brush. All it does is risk alienating natural allies.

  13. How sad and spiteful of them – and what a waste of money. I notice that they consider equality “secular”. They seem to be basing their interpretation of god on their own prejudices and hates.

(and is that man REALLY called Apostle??)

    1. The bible says a lot of racist things and condones slavery etc… Black people shouldn’t be rushing to their bibles just yet and voting by those principles unless they want to become second class citizens again.

  14. It wasn’t until 1978/79 that black people were allowed *full* membership of the Mormon church, yet some are supporting Romney because he is opposed to equality for LGBT. unbelievable!.

Yet again we see some of the recently discriminated against all to ready to discriminate.

    1. Aryu Gaetu 11 Oct 2012, 4:06pm

But, it still stays within the Republican mantra of “I’ve got mine (money, rights, etc.), screw the others!” Not coincidentally, it’s same one Christians use.

  15. Cardinal Capone 11 Oct 2012, 3:57pm

Cutting off noses to spite their faces.

“Latter Days” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0345551/) is a great way to see Christian/Morman love, caring and forced “reprogramming” of their Gays in action. Find and watch it! With its bedroom scenes, a little wine and cheese, it makes for a great date movie.
WARNING: It will make you want to adopt a 16 yr old gay Mormon boy, and then go publish the pics of Romney in Boy Scouts being a bit “too friendly” (he didn’t burn all of them).

    1. I love that film.

  17. So, the push for equal marriage rights in the US could now result in a push for a warmonger – i.e. Bush Mark 2 – to become President, and if that occurs then war without end in the Middle East and beyond will ensue resulting in the murder of millions of innocent people, and inevitably drawing China and Russia into the conflict.

How did the globalist policy of placing gay marriage rights at the top of the agenda come to this?

  18. GingerlyColors 11 Oct 2012, 5:40pm

    Divide and conquer.

  19. Lets all send Obama £1 each to fight this atrocity. I’m also sending my American husband over to vote.

  20. Obama needs to send in the IRS to investigate these faith leaders, deal to them by stripping away their tax exempt status for politiking.

    1. Politicking rather.

    2. Apparently, while it’s illegal for a religious group to become politically involved while retaining tax-exempt status, it’s rarely enforced because of the enormous cultural clout of the religious right. Recently thousands of evangelical pastors agreed to make political videos, and send copies of them to the Internal Revenue Service as a collective gesture of spite. You’re right – the rule must be enforced, as the theocrats are getting more and more brazen every election season.

  21. So black people would rather elect the racist republican candidates into power?

  22. These anti-Christ churches have far too much money but they will not succeed. Obama will win another term in office. There are no ifs or buts about it.

  23. ANY religious organization that involves itself in elections should lose their tax-exemption rights.

  24. Dave North 11 Oct 2012, 9:04pm

As if the Americans are going to vote in a Moron.

    Oops Mormon.

  25. David Myers 12 Oct 2012, 6:20am

    Republicans and bigots . . . who happen to be black . . . . of wait!

  26. “New African American ‘anti-equal’ marriage group”

Now here is some ‘unbiased non-polemical’ reporting from the hate filled right wing pink news. The Pink News is truly the Daily Mail of the gay community!!!

    1. DarthEVaderCheney 12 Oct 2012, 2:56pm

And your point is?? Of course, it’s a gay news blog!! You just took a very, very wrong turn. Time to return to your mushroom abode!

      1. Wrong a newspaper is meant to report news stories fairly and in unbiased manner. The Pink News comment box is similar to the Daily Mail one, hate filled right wing fundamentalist rubbish. My point is you have just proved my point with your silly childish name calling!!!

  27. Dakotahgeo, M.Div. Pastor/Chaplain 12 Oct 2012, 2:52pm

The only way I would agree with this crap is if the BLACK American christian Taliban agrees to turn themselves in for becoming slaves again… if they are even capable of something that easy. Ignorant, arrogant faux christians!!!
