  1. Why are bigots always so angry? Whats missing from their lives that they have to hate on people so much? Being inside that head must be such a horrible thing.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 26 Sep 2012, 12:37pm

Hating is something which bigots such as Maginnis would deny because he like most of the religious nutters are psychopathic liars. It is hardly what I call christian. In fact, it makes him a hypocrite.

    2. You think it’s *easy* being a bigot? The poor little thing is working his arse off to win that award!!! :)

    3. A brain.

    4. Usually once you scratch the surface – it is revealed to be self loathing – oh yes and ignorance.

  2. Belief in a loving God makes you hate people?!

    1. No it makes you stupid and/or insane.

There is not a shred of evidence for the existence of a christian/jewish/muslim/hindu/sikh ‘god’.

    2. The idea that any God is loving seems odd, the existence of suffering, death and pain negate that. Hell and eternal punishment too if he’s a Christian. Maltheism is the only valid religious position.

      1. The christian and jewish ‘god’ is also a genocidal maniac.

Look at the way he slaughtered the 1st born children of all the Egyptians.

Only a murderous scumbag like ‘god’ could do such a thing.

  3. What exactly is Stonewall doing at this present time to pressure the government into giving us a specific timetable for our equal civil rights.

Have they actually done ANYTHING to advance marriage equality since their homophobic chairman Ben Summerskill was caught campaigning AGAINST marriage equality at the 2010 Lib Dem conference.

    1. And what have YOU done apart from snipe?

      1. I am not the self-proclaimed leading LGB group in the UK; so I am limited to sending regular emails to polticians asking why NOTHING is being done on marriage equality.

        Anyway my question remains.

What exactly is Stonewall doing at this present time to pressure the government into giving us a specific timetable for our equal civil rights?

Or are they doing nothing as usual?

  4. I take with a big pinch of salt the Maginnis claim not to have heard of Stonewall.

    1. Stonewall is a second rate organisation, pretending that it has great deal of influence in gay community

  5. ‘perverse pressure groups’ – sounds like the Lord is campaigning hard to win the award

    1. Haha, my thoughts exactly. He surely is a serious contender for the title.

  6. Robert in S. Kensington 26 Sep 2012, 12:33pm

Interesting how bigots become very defensive when they’re exposed in this manner not to mention the persistent hateful language they use to describe us and they expect not to be called bigots? Bigotry isn’t exactly a christian trait, nor are judging and pointing fingers or bearing false witness against one’s neighbour and others. Yet again, evidence that Maginnis and his religious ilk are not only bigots but also hypocrites. Somehow, Stonewall forgot to mention the latter

The bigoted homophobic Ken Maginnis is yesterdays news and that where to leave him, in the past to wallow in his hatred of everything that isn’t white, Anglo Saxon religious “truth”….. It is ironic that after 50 years of anti Irish hatred and bigotry, it was the “queers” that brought him down. Word hereabouts is that he has been getting serious ribbing on that point wherever he dares to appear and is largely confined to his home because of it….. Delicious. Thank you Mike Nesbitt, leader of the UUP.

Thank you for running this story PinkNews. We were so incredibly shocked at Lord Maginnis’s response that we felt compelled make this public.

To be called a perversion or for someone to insinuate that we are in some way a corrupting force on ‘young susceptible and vulnerable people’ is an outrageous accusation.

We have all been ‘young people’ and to suggest that a charity like Stonewall or even a publication like ours (TheGayUK) helps persuade or influence people to become homosexual is naive and bordering on the ridiculous.

How could someone who isn’t gay or lesbian possibly begin to speak on how we’re influenced or how vulnerable we feel?

We’d like to see Lord Maginnis held to account for his slanderous accusations.

  9. How about the ‘Big Fat Balloon Award’?

    1. Baffoon, surely?

  10. What a way to waste your life – being so misguided.

  11. I find it highly ironic that Maginnis has labelled Stonewall for “aggressive types of behaviour”, “perverse pressure groups” and “corrupting influence on susceptible and vulnerable young people”, because quite simply that is what a lot of religions have been doing for years.

    1. Quite a catalogue of accusations against an organisation he has ‘never heard of’ !!!!!!! Yet ANOTHER fib, Ken ??????

  12. Does this neo-fascist scumbag Ken Maginnis sit as an unelected peer in the unelected House of Lords.

If we lived in a democracy we could vote him out of office.

    1. Spanner1960 26 Sep 2012, 3:09pm

That way, we could pay to have the people we wanted elected…

    2. He was nominated by the Ulster Unionist Party which has now withdrawn the Party whip and Maginnis quit the Party before he was thrown out. Since he waxes lyrically about his adherence to the highest possible standards and values [Aye! Right!!] he should follow through and resign his seat in the Lords. Will he resign? Probably not! Which makes his a hypocrit as well as a fibber!!!

  13. It’s such a shame that Colonel Sanders was reincarnated in Ireland as a bitter, angry homophobe!

  14. John Whelan 26 Sep 2012, 4:26pm

Who really gives a damn what this former IRA terrorist says? he was a murderer then and the UK Govt kissing his ass and giving him a Title doesn’t make him any less of a murderer

    1. John what are you on about?

    2. casparthegood 26 Sep 2012, 4:43pm

At least get the bigots political affiliations right

    3. John
Get your facts right – Maginnis was NOT an IRA terrorist, quite the opposite!!!

      1. Paddyswurds 26 Sep 2012, 7:25pm

        @John…
….Actually he was a UDR terrorist. the UDR a regional branch of the British army has been implicated in numerous murders of high profile people in the north of Ireland during the “troubles” such as Solicitors Pat Finicane and Rosemary Nelson and numerous others. It was finally disbanded in disgrace in 1992 by Tony Blair. The ten years Maginnis was UDR Major were the worst of the entire 35 years. It is an insult to the Provisional IRA to say that this homophobic bigoted thug was an IRA man. The very Idea!

        1. @ Paddywurds well said!

        2. Yes Paddyswurds, because the IRA were not bigoted thugs. Have you ever heard of Kingsmills, La Mon, Shankill etc where the IRA murdered innocent men women and children for being Protestant. I don’t condone anything Maginnis has said or done but you can hardly call him a terrorist.

      2. you’re thinking of Martin McGuinness, who is unlikely to be given a title by the British Government.

  15. He’s a hunky Daddy, our Ken Maginnis. Wouldn’t he look good in leather and with a whip in his hands? Always love the name Maginnis. Presumably it’s a derivation of Mac (son of) and Guinness (disgusting, unpalatable Irish river water).

    1. Paddyswurds 26 Sep 2012, 7:28pm

      Alan…
….”Guinness (disgusting, unpalatable Irish river water).” which sell approx 80 million pints daily worldwide…..So how many pints of Brit bilge water sells world wide..whats that? Yes None!

      1. So what.

Big Brother and the X-Factor are 2 of the most popular UK TV shows.

Popularity doesn’t stop them from being sh!te.

        1. Paddyswurds 27 Sep 2012, 12:03am

If it were shyte I don’t think there would be the sales there is.
I don’t drink, and have no idea what it tastes like but over the last 40 years the number of people extolling the goodness of Guiness has convinced me .By the way it is not made from river water but a spring in the Wicklow hills which is why people always say Guinness in Ireland tastes better than that brewed in other parts of the world. That’s what….

  16. “I’m hardly likely to be impressed by what you’ve sent me.”
Well, that’s ok. Not many people are impressed by who the stuff was sent to.

  17. The man would know a lot about ‘intimidation and threats’.

  18. auntie babs 26 Sep 2012, 8:03pm

ooohhh the rce for the bigot of the year award is cooking over nicely……and its gonna be the one to watch….i still think the Scottish Priest has it in the bag but its gonna be a close call.

  19. Stupid old dickhead! It would actually be funny if he did turn up. He’d be laughed out of the room.

  20. I love the way these people use the most vile and vicious language, and then call us aggressive for having a problem with it. What a tool.
